Hey, I’m still catching up on sleep from Las Vegas Bikefest. I’m also in the process of constantly learning. I’m learning business, new technology and constantly on the search for more information regarding our freedoms to ride and build motorcycles. I’ve been after the EPA and CARB in California for several years purely from a

Hey, There are a couple of heated topics to discuss here. One is the monster in the garage. We could call it government over-reach, control freaks, freedom in trouble or the safety take-over. Everyday we hear about electric vehicles taking over the planet, we hear about global warming as if you could turn your chopper

Hey, I’m still trying to understand Facebook. We dodged it for a couple of years. That didn’t help Bikernet, but now we’re in the ring, punching it out. Someone in the industry recently said, “Don’t give ‘em content, just work the content you have through Facebook.” I’m still trying to understand what all the boxes

Hey, I just received a new C of O, or Certificate of Occupancy for the Bikernet Headquarters. For months I wondered whether armed officials would kick me out of my old building. Today, we wonder if our old motorcycles might be banned. We wonder if police will barge into our homes and search for guns.

Hey, This is going to be a good one. A couple of news items bring up the issue of Freedom and how it works. We don’t realize how important the custom motorcycle culture is to our nation. I’ll try to explain. Biker’s Rights advocates have fought for helmet freedom for over 40 years. It’s worked

Hey, It’s all nuts. I watched a documentary about the earth and our battles for and around water. The scientists in Greenland said they could not confirm or deny the naysayers about man’s impact on the climate. The water and ice levels have been consistent for 10,000 years. They also went onto explain how our

Hey, Had an interesting experience dodging thunderstorms through Monument Valley, on our way to Sturgis. We pulled into Rawlings for gas and my riding partner was constantly looking for the best possible route. He would ask folks on the street, gas station attendants, waitresses, and for info on his cell phone. They all offered

Hey, I’m probably in Wyoming heading to Sturgis. The clan is taking over for me, while I’m on the road. Thanks to all the readers and staff who are holding it together, while I drink all the whiskey between Barstow and Deadwood. Gotta get there somehow. A big Indian is chasing me.   Ride Free

Hey, Are you packing for Sturgis? It’s that time of the year to make our annual pilgrimage to the badlands. Along the road we finally have time to think without a myriad of distractions. Have you ever watched “Hell on Wheels?” It’s a wild series made in Calgary about building a railroad across the

Hey, Interesting times in the motorcycle world. I wrote a book in the ‘90s about the future and banning motorcycles. It’s already happening. There’s a plot. We need to step up and fight for freedom. I’m also discovering much more to the climate change equation, what can be done and what is happening naturally. The

Hey, There’s a secret. Another challenging week on the home front. I was told by the city to call for an inspection and they would arrive within 24 hours. I called on Monday. No one has called or come over, yet. Now, I could look at this from several perspectives. The Secret tells us

Hey, I watched the 4th of July celebration at the Capital, amazing. We need a slice of this stuff once in a while to offset all the negative media. We do live in an amazing country, but why is it amazing? Because it’s the land of the Free and the home of the Brave. In

Hey, Born Free is all the action afoot in Los Angeles. There are two maybe three pre-parties tonight. Mike Lichter is staying at the Bikernet Headquarter while covering all the action he can handle for Easyriders. Markus Cuff is catching some action for Cycle Source, and Bikernet. Hell, I can’t keep all this shit straight,

Hey,We are living through interesting times. Folks are cut up in the streets of the middle-east while bombs blow up their homes and we have folks right here who want to pass quiet zone regulations to enhance the quality of life. Since when was rock and roll not part of our quality of life,

Hey, This week was packed with major accomplishments on all fronts, and it’s not over yet. I believe we made major strides on our building. We now have a Certificate of Occupancy in the works. I refined the breather on my bottlecap engine, replaced the plugs and ordered a new headlight sealed beam. Another test

Hey, I’ve discussed not giving up on anything, including the 5-Ball factory racer, and I’ve seen success. I went to Zack’s houseboat last weekend and we talked about motorcycles and chasing mechanical problems. A small electrical glitch in the headlight triggered his circuit breaker and killed the bike. I’ll dig into my headlight. You never

Hey, This has been a fascinating week. I could say it was a challenge. I could also say it was fucked. But I try to keep a constant positive attitude and my goals at the forefront of every effort. Let’s get specific. I had another meeting with the City of Los Angeles regarding my building.

Hey, This week has been beyond interesting. All the bottom line goals were almost realized. I talked about Not Giving Up, and you can’t. This week held examples. I believe Phil, from Phil’s Speed Shop in Orange County inspired me to find the solution to a 4-year challenge. My Crazy Horse, now V-Plus 100-inch

Hey, It’s never a dull moment around the headquarters. This seems to be a week of innovation and new product testing. Never give up should be everyone’s mantra in life. Never give up on your health, your relationships, your education and your motorcycle. I’ve been challenged by a particular motorcycle. It’s never run right. I

Hey, I’m off to see the Wizard. We, and that includes you, are off to see what new technology can do for Bikernet. As you saw the old landing page is gone and shortly many more changes will unfold. Some of the changes you won’t even see, but they will be rocking the world of

Hey, Here we go. This is one of those days. I’m not sure where to start. I’m excited and tenuous. This year put me in the middle of a whirlwind. I was attempting to finish my most recent book. It’s a crossroads endeavor. I want it to be the best book I ever wrote,

Hey, About Freedom. We seem to live in a society admonishing Freedom as a thing of the past. I had a conversation with Dennis Manning. The EPA told him point blank that they are controlling everything that rolls, and ultimately custom motorcycles had to be apart of the mix. So, why isn’t it the other
