Hey, I’m catching a lot of heat for voting for Junior’s bike over Jesse’s in the American Chopper Build off. I was generally disappointed. This was supposed to be the Build-off of Build-offs. Senior built a snowmobile; Jesse couldn’t finish his build, after pounding his chest about doing the whole thing by himself. He had

Hey, Another crazy day in paradise. Rumor has it Big Bear Choppers is stumbling and looking for investors. But Norton motorcycles are coming on strong, and Victory plans to launch new models every six months. Where one company struggles another emerges. Bikernet may explode next year. Hell, we may have a major announcement next week.

Hey, This is one of those days. Greece and Italy may tank, and suddenly our Congress is saying, “Fuck the politics, save the country.” Ron Benfield, from Saddlemen, just returned from the Milan show. That show draws 500,000 attendees, including families and kids. So the country may go BK, but motorcycling won’t. I’m going to

Hey, It’s the night before Thanksgiving, and I’m scrambling to finish the news before the holiday. The pressure is on. I want to thank everyone who supports Bikernet in anyway from being a paid sponsor, to our 10,000 Cantina members, to the rider who takes the time to send me a news item,

Hey, This is a helluva News column. We’re two weeks into the new year and the Playoff games are raging. Bike shows from IMS, and Easyriders, are rocking every weekend. The Grand National Roadster Show is coming right up. It’s amazing how many activities are flourishing across the country. If only we can keep the

Hey, Suddenly shop business has slowed. This is the best time of the year to have a shop service your bike, or performs upgrades. We are going to feature some tech upgrade notions over the next couple of weeks. We are also going to remind you about a couple of shops in the SoCal area.

Hey, Another wild day in paradise. The world is still upside down. The economy still sucks, but I swear the SEMA show was actively up from an attendence standpoint. The booths were down about 10 percent, but that just meant a tad less walking. The European attendance was strong as we rapidly roll toward a

Hey, I wish I knew which direction to head in, today. I’m lost with thoughts of the economy, bike projects, protests in the streets, runs, books, Sturgis for next year, you name it. So fuck it, we built a planter in the middle of the night, with a useless twin-cam lower end and a beach

Hey, Life is bananas. This news will rock your world. I’m not messing around. Twice this week I watched CSPAN and ran into crazy government issues. First I watched an hour of testimony from government agencies discussing the millions spent to prevent biological terrorism. No one has ever died from a biological terrorism act, but

Hey, I’ve got a notion stirring around in my feeble mind. The economy is piss poor, but the passion for toys and freedom never dies. So what can guys (and girls) do when times are tough, and we feel our freedoms slipping away–build and ride motorcycles, goddamnit. A brother may not be able to buy

Hey, Life is nuts, as you know, but here’s a grand example. For years Las Vegas was the wild growth entertainment center. It was a place where carpenters could get wealthy. Now the unemployment rate in Vegas is 25 percent, 67 percent of all home are upside down, and 20 percent are in foreclosure. The

Hey, Another crazy day in paradise, and we’re gearing up for the desert run to Las Vegas Bikefest. It will be a hot action weekend, and I’m assigned to judging the bike show and the Bikini Contest Saturday afternoon. I’ll be looking for her chromed parts and inspecting them thoroughly. It’s my job goddamnit. This

Okay, This has been another crazy week in Paradise. Just about time I’m scrambling to catch up with content, bike builds, building efforts, and freelance projects, someone breaks down and needs emergency assistance, or we have a problem with the site. Last week, we were about to wrap up an exciting 911 Sunday Post, and

Hey, Another amazing week in Paradise. You wouldn’t believe it, if I tried to explain, but if it unfolds you’ll be the first to know, after the Cantina Members get the first glimpse. Big News this week is the Advanstar run to build their Indy dealer show this year. In the likes of a poor

Hey, We had a quick adhoc meeting regarding Bikernet projects. There’s been some pressure to reduce the number of projects, but in a sense I feel it’s the nature of things flying at us constantly. The key is saying, “No.” That’s a tough one around the headquarters. In the event of any question regarding projects,

Hey, This is one of those days where I’m not sure which way to turn. I could build bikes and get my Mudflap girl purring. The Wire plus speedos landed, and fab Kevin helped me with a Mudflap girl shift linkage. It’s sort of a tribute to a talented builder who is no longer in

Hey, Nyla bugs me at least once a week, “Slow down. Cut the number of projects,” she says, turns her back and slams the door. Of course she wants to take on a part time job as a waitress at the Chowder Barge, take more martial art and yoga classes, make art from old shoes,

Hey, Ray C. Wheeler and I just rolled back into the headquarters from Sturgis last night. Damn, we still had connections on the list that were missed, but we cut a dusty trail into Las Vegas, met with Joe Zanelli, who owns Rocky’s on Maryland, just off Silverado and got a fantastic lunch and a

Hey, As you read this Ray Wheeler, the new V.P. at Bikernet, and I will be cutting a dusty trail toward the Badlands to catch the Hamsters, who ride every year to Sturgis from the West Coast. Here’s the big news of this week: Tonight Show host, Jay Leno, will lead thousands of bikers to

Hey, Less than a week and we’ll be on the road to the Badlands in the Bikernet Hearse, pulling a trailer with the Sturgis Chop and the Salt Shaker loaded. We are scrambling on many fronts. We are about to launch a new Cantina Membership program with Dairyland Insurance discounts and up to 15 percent

Hey, What the hell? If this day isn’t packed with nuts… Hang on for this news. I don’t even want to venture into the fray. Let’s just let it unfold. We’re headed to Bennett’s Performance on Sunday for their open house and a tour of Branch O’Keefe Flow Metrics, where they rebuild, port, and flow

Hey, This news will fry your fingertips. As the sun kicked into 6th gear over Southern California, action at the headquarters heated to the extreme. We are now actively working on Bandit’s Barista, a coffee shop in the front of the building, due to open about the time the city finishes widening Harry Bridges Blvd.

Hey, This might be the wildest news ever, although a voice from South Carolina told me the lovely Nyla kicked my news ass last week–WTF. Okay, so I’m challenged to best her pithy news effort with Trike event shots from Art, the magnificent moto-journalists from Quick Throttle Magazine. We have Smoke Out shots from the
