Weekly News

Hey, A couple of items have smacked me this week, and this news will reflect them. Life is amazing, but full of pitfalls lies and deceit from the highest authorities. As bikers we have always fought to survive, duck the naysayers, and find a way to keep freedom alive. That’s why I support motorcycle rights

Hey, This is going to be a quirky news, and I’m going to begin to discuss prospects and projects for next year. It’s almost mystical, but I’ll try to stay centered on the vast custom motorcycling empire and turkey day. The folks behind the Sturgis Museum are trying to expand it into a magnificent building

Hey, This has been a wild week, very positive, progressive, and many accomplishments were slammed into the “Done” category. Between the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show this weekend and the photo shoot for our 5-Ball Leather Line we were none-stop from last Thursday until today. The Love Ride faced a decline in attendance, but

Hey, Is life strange or what? We have motorhome dwellers living on the streets of our little third world country called Wilmington, between San Pedro and Long Beach, California. The courts told the cops they can’t tow the dwellers, because they consider them homeless and we must help them not hinder them. Many of them

Hey, I’m surrounded by various groups of folks recently who have varied priorities in their lives. We have kids in their 20s who work hard, go to school, and are dedicated to sports, community, or their church. Others just want a 12-pack, and others are just pissed off and can’t get past it. Then there

Hey, The votes are in, although many more folks need to vote in future elections. I don’t like the face of our government right now, although I believe folks stepped up and voted for freedom over regulation. I truly believe we need another party, the Freedom party. It should be run by bikers. I don’t

Hey, Do you read horoscopes, check your feng shui calendar, or any other sooth-saying window into the future. I don’t generally, but I do try to stay in tune with what’s going on around me. If I notice a particularly negative trend, my survival antennae elevates. I try to catch myself, before I slip into

Hey, Today feels strange. I’m running into some crazy info, and it’s the weekend of the Love Ride, the Chopper Dave Benefit, Markus Cuff and Mark Mahoney photo art exhibit, and a number of other events, including the Long Beach Swap Meet. Damn, I wish I could make it. Currently the plan is to

Hey, Just when life seems to calm slightly, someone tries a new mapping system in the computer and threatens the industry with disarray once more. Guess that keeps life stimulating. It’s like your pal who can’t keep a job. He goes to work anywhere with the best intentions, then his or her personality feeds

Hey, We are living through some crazy times, once more. Maybe it’s the fast moving technology driving us to accomplish more faster. Maybe it’s the expanding population? More folks, more pals, more business associates, more, more, and more. I still don’t get the robotic business. So we eliminate folks from the workplace. I found

Hey, What the hell. I always tell myself, “No appointments, interruptions, bullshit, on Thursdays.” So what happens? Folks know I’m sequestered behind my desk all day Thursday, so they call, pop over, etc. This morning the official Bikernet Electrician, Kyle comes back to confess. His motorcycle was impounded all behind a destructive relationship. This

Hey, What a strange day and closing on a very strange week. I felt pressure at the first of the week to finish several features, and I just thought of another one. I wrote the Tom Seymour, of Saddlemen story for Hot Bike, and will meet with him to confirm all my mistakes and fill

Hey, It’s 9-11 and this is going to be an interesting news. We lost lives on 9-11 and went to War. But we continue to lose freedoms, and we should quit torturing all of our citizens daily as they board airplanes. What the hell? Recently in the Week Magazine, an editor, Theunis Bates said that

Hey, There’s so much on our goddamn plates these days, but what the hell. We can’t ever stop. I am going to initiate a mantra for 2015—More Fun, Less Work. No books next year. I’m going to finish my screenplay this year, hopefully, and publish the next Chance book. It’s a good one. Next

Bonneville is over for this year and from what I have been hearing it was a lesson in Patience.  Patience for the Salt to dry from the evening rainstorms, Patience for the wind to die down as you are waiting on the salt to make your pass. Patience as you scratch your head

Hey, It’s one of those days. We are packing all the shit to haul ass to Bonneville. I woke up at 6:00 with text messages clicking in my ear. Ray’s packing. Rogue is sending Sturgis reports. Bikernet Betsy road reports are flying at us. I feel good about this run. We are harried, but sorta

Hey, It’s post Sturgis madness and planning for the Bonneville blast. It’s nuts but a non-stop challenge and fun. Speed Week was rained out just a week ago, but the salt is already prepared to rock once more. I have a minor, but harried list to perform on the Bonne Belle. Ray is looking

Reports from Sturgis are slowly trickling into Bikernet Headquarters as we endeavor to keep you updated on the latest.  The Legends Ride, Biker Belle Ride, Michael Lichter and Paul D’Orleans Motorcycles of Art Show, and Bike shows will all be covered, so stay tuned to Bikernet.com! The big man, Bandit is still at Sturgis

Hey, My list for this week was moderate in preparation for hitting the road to the Badlands. You can’t imagine the excitement when the subject draws near and the curtain begins to unfold. I was in the bank today, and the big young teller smiled as I approached his station. He only smiled because I

Hey, This is the week before we take off for Sturgis. The crew from Heavy Duty Magazine from Australia is already on the road to the Badlands with just six in the party. Last year they had 60, and next year for the 75th it will explode. Some of the Hamsters start in Wisconsin, ride

Hey, Life is nuts as you know. It’s interesting and I’m sure scholars all over this planet are studying the consequences of our population doubled. I’ve supported Motorcycle Rights forever. We have a growing number of motorcyclists roaming the earth, but fewer and fewer are interested in our rights to ride Free. As the number

Hey, Another crazy day in paradise. I’m trying to make some arrangements for Sturgis on a very limited budget. Then I watched the Ride Back or Easy Rider II last night, and I wanted to yank my FXR out of the shop and just ride out into the desert and hang out for weeks, moseying

Hey, I’m pumped and trying to find the best deal I can on a new Indian motorcycle. I just rode one to the SmokeOut in Rockingcasa, North Carolina. It’s a stellar beast, and no, I won’t compare it to a Harley-Davidsons. I haven’t ridden a new Harley in a few years. I’m the satin powder-coated

What the hell, I woke up this morning with reality kicking me in the teeth. All over the country people are firing up their bikes and heading to events spread out from coast to coast. The West Coast contingent are all riding the canyon up to Born Free, The Mid West crew are all
