Weekly News

Hey, This has been one amazing week. I didn’t finish my Weekend Round-up because shit was moving fast. It’s still moving fast, and maybe not fast enough, but we will see. I started on the Weekend Round-Up for July 22nd, But never finished it. It’s nuts. My weeks don’t end. I try to make Friday

Hey, What an interesting week. We are scrambling with the Salt Torpedo. I trying to outfit the new Bikernet Salt Flats Van for the trip to Bonneville. I’ve been in touch with various Easyriders contributors and now ex-staff members regarding the future. A few of us have been super-lucky to make a living in the

Hey, It’s amazing, in a world gone nuts with regulation, one state is considering freedom. Check it out, in the news. Missouri has an adult helmet repeal in front of their Governor. Did you know about half of our states have adult freedom and in most cases free states have a better accident record than

Hey, It’s the 4th of July and I’m working on the news. Ah, but it’s Thursday. And we are celebrating the Declaration of Independence that we are all equal and deserve happiness. I watched a four-part documentary series called “Why Are We Here.” It was presented by a physicist and his documentary producing partner. They

Hey, What’s real, what’s hip, what’s it all about? We see it constantly around us. It’s one of the things I liked about being a biker. It was just me and my motorcycle. I wore what I wore for me and nobody else. Most of us looked like hell most of the time. Who cared? Okay,

Hey, What’s it going to be? I’ve just spent three days welding on the Salt torpedo and rattle can attacking parts for final assembly to begin this weekend. In a world gone insane with regulation you see that freedom still matters. In Missouri they are about to repeal the adult helmet law. I just read

Hey, Every morning I wake up, throw my long legs over the edge of our drooping bed and say, “It’s going to be an exciting day!”       Ever since dragging the Salt Torpedo back to the Bikernet Headquarters, we’ve been scrambling. Yesterday, we peeled the top of the new fiberglass body off of

Hey, A PITCH FOR INFRASTRUCTURE FOR A GROWING POPULATION—I wake up with the craziest thoughts. I watched Chris Kristofferson’s documentary about the Past and the Future and of course Climate Change and Man. His experts contend that fossil fuels will be around for a long time. But he asks that we try to do something

Hey, What the hell are we doing today? I’m about to apply another layer of fiberglass to the Salt Torpedo. I’m trying to finish up a report on the Petersen Museum’s Future of the Automobile symposium. I wanted to go and witness what the experts had to say, but as I read over the session

Hey, We use to be a society of can-do folks. We built, invented and created everything and rocked on. Now, it seems we’re the can-regulate everything era. We can punish you and according to the experts the millennials can’t do anything. They can’t drive, ride motorcycles or build anything. They can only stare at their

Hey, Challenges flying at us can be great or small, but it’s up to us to handle them with dignity and pure positive enthusiasm. As the good doctor Bourna points out, “make stress work for you. It’s the only way.” Good stress are the drivers making us get shit done in a timely fashion. Bad

Hey, Nirvana is a state of mind we are all capable of at any minute. Bikers understand the concept better than most. Anytime we straddle a bike and shift into gear our brains slip into a state of nirvana. As soon as we open a tool box and start to build a bike, we slip

Hey, Why do I ponder this shit, but I do. It’s not as if my folks were industry leaders or politicians. I should smoke weed and relax, but no. So, what happens when we prove that Global Warming is a doomsday hoax? We’ve basically lost 20 years when we should have been thinking about the

Hey, Yesterday was strange. I check in with the Climate Depot about once a week to see what’s happening. You’ll see below. The state of Washington has passed a bill initiating a green state with massive requirements and the end of fossil fuel use by 2045. I also ran across a report about the new

Hey, There’s been an on-going struggle to involve the motorcycle industry and all riders in motorcyclists rights forever. This week it heated up again. I’ve been in the middle of this effort several times. I’ll support the folks who keep us free forever. They are amazing. They are like the red cross for bikers. When

Hey, Imagine if the concept of life changed dramatically. With the advent of scienctific discoveries and studies, everything is changing rapidly regarding religion, philosophy and nature. It always blows me away, the more I learn the more motorcycling, custom motorcycling and choppers become pure bastions of freedom. According to science we are born, go

Hey, Here’s the recent challenge. A brother called the other day. He spoke to some kids recently and they had never heard of Arlen Ness. They were riders. We had an interesting discussion about the changing face of motorcycling. Of course, some kids don’t know the Beatles or Elvis Presley, so what’s new? I’m

Hey, I just finished a 36-episode series on the big questions of Philosophy by David Kyle Johnson Ph.d, King’s University. I never knew the actual meaning of philosophy until I watched this. This guy went to college to study religion and ended up a philosopher. I would like to know the story behind his shift.

Hey, We have always been a blue-collar effort. The world is changing fast, but we will remain the guys who build shit and ride our stuff into the sunset. Even our Salt Torpedo is not being built by engineers. It’s the first Streamlined trike to be registered for Bonneville Salt Flats racing. We are building

Hey, Everything seems to be falling into place for this year. The Salt Shaker is making major strides. The 20th Anniversary of the SmokeOut is coming together. My plans have shifted regarding the Sturgis Run. My Grandson’s FXR is almost out of the shop. Mike Stevenson an actor, a Hamster, a bike builder, a real

Hey, I got to thinking the other day. Bikernet and being a member of Bandit’s Cantina makes you a member of a radical, freedom fighter group. I’ve often been pointed at by other agencies as a notorious helmet law fighter, a freedom fighter, a gun owner and supporter, a veteran, and a climate denier.

Hey, Here’s the deal. I fight for freedom and I side with the Freedom Fighters, which are Republicans. Okay, I’m going to scramble through a few points. I grew up a workingman’s son. He was a Democrat, so I remained a Democrat until I became involved in Bikers Rights. I discovered that the folks who

Hey, I called this news Promotional because you will see some self-promotional items mentioned, and I gotta be honest about them, goddammit. We will promote our new 5-Ball Racing Bonneville Sponsorship effort for this year. We need to raise every dime we can get. We will also mention our new leather order. And I’ll ramble
