Weekly News

Hey, I’ve been answering my letters with, “All the Best for Our Roaring ‘20s.” It’s sorta hitting home as a mantra for the future. Think about what the 1920s represented. It was a wild time of growth and expansion, new music and women coming out of big full skirts. Prohibition started in 1920 to

Hey, I like this year already. It’s going to be whacky and wonderful. It’s just the 2nd day of January and the world is back in business. We’re all doing what we did a couple of weeks ago, going about taking the trash out, feeding the dog and heading off to work. Hell, I have

Hey, It’s the day after Christmas. Life is truly amazing. It’s too bad someone doesn’t put it properly into written words, share it with the world and teach it in classes. It’s simple and magnificent. If only we could take a pill and eliminate hate, power, and ego to be replaced with freedom and love.

Merry Merry, Incredible, I had some whacky dreams last night about moving to Deadwood, South Dakoka (I found out my offer was approved this morning). Remember always, no negative waves. I had to wake up and remind myself. My mind today is spinning with thoughts of ancient philosophies and today’s kids. I watched a Scandinavian

Hey, Knowledge, understanding, the Way, and technology: They are all flying at us fast. Hell, I don’t know where to start. Awhile back I mentioned business owners and their constant challenges, from the government, technology, competition and the market. Those challenges are more daunting than ever before and more beneficial in many respects. Personal life

Hey, Life is so interesting. Always remember two masterful quotes from folks on a much higher pay grade level than my humble self: Everything will be all right in the end. If it’s not all right, it’s not the end. Think your absolute worst thought. Then take a breath and ponder the fact: It was

Hey, Making progress is a major motivator. I like to climb out of bed thinking the day is going to be exciting. This week I solved some issues, took my 1928 Shovelhead to Larry Settle for a look-over. We organized and shipped Hugh King’s Discovery Channel biker build-off bike to the Sturgis Museum. We

Hey, A couple of infrastructure changes. From now on, we will post the news on the Free side of the Bikernet Iron Curtain for one week each week. We will also do the same with selected articles before slipping them into Bandit’s Cantina archives for our esteemed members. We need members, but I want the

Hey, I was just looking at the new issue of Dealer News and I wondered about something. I try to skim through DealerNews and anything motorcycle related constantly, so I may have missed something. I wondered how the DealerNews staff handles the Climate Change question and if they support freedom or dodge the issue scared

Hey, Okay, just relax. That’s the name of my accountant’s business. Shit is happening fast on most fronts and I’m going to Deadwood to relax and slip in the snow. There’s a side of me that wants to find a place in the Midwest, where I can chill and breathe in the home of the

Hey, I’m watching a documentary series on the Curse of Oak Island. Folks have been searching there for buried treasure for 200 years. Six dudes have died hunting, and so far, no one has found anything except little trinkets. Amazing. Get this, I even published an article 35 years ago about Shakespeare original manuscripts buried

Hey, I’m at a crossroads today. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve witnessed upheaval in relationships, business dealings, etc. After about the third one, I start to wonder if the stars are out of alignment. Is the MoJo working? Check out the fight over loud pipes in Boston. Get this, I have a letter

Hey, This is crazy, I spent three days in Austin, Texas, I saw Jesse James new shop, his projects and guns. He’s keeping the chopper faith and even restoring some of his old West Coast long choppers. His guns are amazing and he starts by forging his own steel. The guy is talented beyond

Hey, This is a strange and wonderful week. Shit is happening fast. Shit is changing fast, and shit will go to hell quick if we all don’t get involved. I didn’t intend this to be doom and gloom, but it just spilled out as I wrote. It’s time we all joined a motorcycle rights group

Hey, I feel a shift coming. In some respects, I hope it’s a shift in the direction of Freedom. I sense the whole Climate Change Doomsday hoax is going to crash. We are actually living in the best of times. Everything on the planet has improved for the better and we need to celebrate, not

Hey, I apologize for not writing a Weekend Round-Up or posting a chapter about the Salt Torpedo. The week peeled away from me, and I had an ominous task on Wednesday. I had a VA hearing about my disability rating. Although it all worked out, we fucked up and didn’t do the correct homework. I

Hey, Life is so interesting, challenging, foreboding and sometimes fucked. But what the hell, each day is an adventure of sorts. It’s all about your attitude towards every aspect. This week isn’t over, and I need to conquer a couple of elements. The Nissan Van I bought is cool. I’ve been trying to get it

Hey, I am a man of many strange thoughts. Although, they are predominantly centered around riding free and helping others. I woke up the other beautiful morning and noted how the heat has subsided some and it was a perfect day for working in the shop and getting shit done. Then is dawned on me.

Hey, I ran two Climate pieces a couple of weeks ago. I got a kick out of this one from the Week. Let’s ask everyone who buys a fossil fuel car or motorcycle in the future to plant a tree. Done deal. THE GREEN SOLUTION TO CLIMATE CHANGE—Scientist have calculated that the cheapest and most

Hey, Hate Ignites Hate Maybe there’s something to be investigated here. Again, the media plays a role. Mass shootings are on the rise. It’s not because of the guns, but because of frustration. I watched a portion of a report on PBS News hour last night. A professor wrote a book blaming slavery on capitalism.

Hey, This is going to be a wild day. This would have been the day we rolled out for the 2019 Bonneville Speed Trials, but it’s not happening. We still have work to do, but we did make our first pass around the block successfully. I still need to finish the firewall, bolt in the

Hey, I want to jump right into the news. I need to scramble back into the shop and start work on the Salt Torpedo firewall final aluminum construction. We have just eight days before we should be rolling out towards the salt. Not sure if we will make it. We have several hoops to jump

Hey, Everything is happening fast. The brothers at Bennett’s Performance headed to Bonneville at the crack of dawn. Sturgis is winding down and we’re waiting to hear reports from the front. Rogue made it to several events. He said the number of folks was strong, and although it rained cats-and-dogs on the way to the

Hey, This is one of those mornings. I’m not sure which way to turn. It doesn’t really matter, any direction I go is damn exciting. I’m in the process of wiring the Salt Torpedo. I need to add three Daca vents to the liner, but the body is almost done for now. I will also
