Hey,
I’m hungover and packed full of working notions for the Assalt weapan. It’s flying together. Rick Krost, the Prez of U.S. Choppers came over yesterday and coached me on my new ESAB plasma cutter. We worked until 10:00 p.m. then I discovered, in a stack of bike mags, that grows daily, a Hot Rod issue from March. It’s the one I was searching for. So I shut down the shop, read about “Wind Camp,” and sipped Jack Daniels till midnight.

I’m learnin’ and sense that we might be headed in the right direction. Here’s an excerpt:
?To double that speed would require eight times the horsepower. More practically, to go just 25 percent faster-say, from 125 to a bit over 155 mph-requires double the horsepower. Or you could go faster without adding a single horsepower by making the car sleeker, being more friendly about inviting the air to step out of your way. That means getting familiar with aerodynamics?

I’ll touch on a bunch more info as I scramble to put together my next Bonneville Report next week. Lotsa Surprises there. Let’s hit the news:

TRILLION INDUSTRIES REPORT BACK– The article you did on me and the bike was terrific! More than I could ask for, so thank you very much! I sent a link out to many of my friends and colleagues and the response back was awesome, again thank you very much!! Hey on another note, I checked out the Matt H. battery and if I’m not mistaken it’s a lithium polymer style battery. That composition is very powerful as you can attests.
I think it’s the same kind of battery I use in my remote control helicopter! It’s what made R/C heli’s possible. The power to weight ratio was not available in any other kind of cell to make them fly other than a gas/nitro mix engine. The one’s I have are small, 2″x4″x0.75″ thick and are a 3-cell 11.1v (3.7v ea.) and 2.2 amp hour.
I always wanted to put a bunch together and see if it would work on a bike (I could do a 14.8v and 15amp/hr to weigh only 3-4lbs!). It’s only been in the last six months or so that the cost has come down. I was paying $150/battery and now I can get some for about $50 each, so as why I didn’t try it. They are super light and soft, like a granola bar. Anyway Matt’s the man for getting it out there.

NO GAS…On May 15th 2007– …in April 1997, there was a “gas out” conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.
There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.
If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that’s almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companys pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.
If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldnt) resend this to all your contact list. With it saying, ”Don’t pump gas on May 15th”

IT’S FINALLY HERE== Can you believe it. It’s finally here. June 8th, 9th, and 10th the Grand Opening of our new state of the Art shop and what a party it will be, I hope to see everyone and there families there. (Vendors wanted)
Again Thank You for your continued Support,

VICTORY VAMPIRE DISCOVERED IN SEDONA– The concept of a Victory Motorcycles’ production chopper was put to factory chief, Mark Blackwell, about two years ago by erstwhile Cruising Rider magazine editor and itinerant biker, J. Joshua Placa. Placa has since been seen riding his invisible motorcycle at the Happyland Acres Mental Correctional Facility somewhere near Area 51 and was not available for comment.
The idea evolved into a skunk works project involving the “New American Motorcycle” and master builder Kent Weeks, the head demon at Houston, TX-based Lucky Devil Metal Works (281-477-3590, www.luckydevilmetalworks.com). The mission was to forge a DOT-legal, comfortable, good handling prototype that Victory could add to its lineup with only a few minor tweaks to its assembly line.
The Victory Vampire now lives and rides, reportedly, beyond its creator’s expectations. No word yet on whether the factory will build it. Keep an eye peeled for an upcoming test feature, and let us know your opinion about this chop. More importantly, tell Victory what you think.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON MUSEUM PLACES LAST BEAM ON 80-FOOT MUSEUM TOWER– The final steel beam of the Harley-Davidson Museum building was placed atop an adjoining 80-foot tower May 4, representing a significant milestone in the construction of the new facility. With great pride, Harley-Davidson executives and construction team workers signed the beam before Willie G. Davidson, senior vice president and chief styling officer, gave the signal for it to be raised to the top of the tower.
Construction of the Harley-Davidson Museum, located at 6th and Canal Street near downtown Milwaukee, began with a groundbreaking ceremony held on June 1, 2006. With plans to open in 2008, the Harley-Davidson Museum will be a must-see destination for motorcyclists and Harley enthusiasts alike. The Museum will bring Harley-Davidson passion alive through stories of the extraordinary people, culture and history of the Motor Company. For those who want to track the progress of the construction of the H-D Museum, an online webcam allows eager and curious enthusiasts to watch the development each day. To view the webcam, visit http://www.h-dmuseum.oxblue.com.

FDNY BIKE IS ON EBAY MOTORS!– The FDNY Tribute Bike, dedicated to the 343 Fallen Firefighters from 9-11-01, is currently on EBAY with an auction close date scheduled for Sunday
After many years of building and promoting, the time has finally come where someone will take pride and ownership in this beautiful machine. Please go to eBay Motors and take a look at this 2001 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7R up for auction. The bike was featured at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows presented by Toyota during the 2006-2007 series season and gathered a lot of interest among those in attendance at the shows.
“This auction is to memorialize the 343 fallen Firefighters from the 9-11-01 tragedy,” said Alex Farrington who is behind the project. “This past 9-11-06 marked the 5 year memorial for this tragedy and as we said on the first day we started building this motorcycle, we will NEVER FORGET”
All of the money is going to the William Randolph Hearst Burn Center at the New York City Presbyterian Hospital. The money will help those who have been injured in fire related accidents and can’t afford the surgeries.
Please tell anyone and everyone you know about this good cause and happy bidding.

TRAVELING BIKERNET REP NEEDED– I would love to advertise for your company at Virginia racetracks. I am looking to be a spokesperson for a company that I can help market at the shows. I attend most of them and I am seeking a company that I can help with their business.

SUPPORT BRASS BALLS BOBBERS– Just want you to know that I appreciate your willingness to promote Brass Balls Bobbers and for keeping in touch.
I have been very busy and preoccupied with other pressing items. Shame on me. Truth is, your site is the best marketing tool I have access to and have not been taking advantage of its full potential.
I currently have 6 customer bike builds in various stages. I will get photos together and get to you as I can.
For what it’s worth, we have just finished a bike for the “Tommy Harris Foundation” (football player for Chicago Bears). The bike is being auctioned at a celebrity charity auction this Sunday at Toby Keith’s restaurant in Oklahoma City. If you like, I can send photos of it.
All my best. You will be hearing from me soon… With bike pics.

For more information visit Harley-Davidson RIDER’s EDGE NEW RIDER COURSE Trains 100,000th Student– NAPLES, Fla. (May 3, 2007) – Harley-Davidson’s Rider’s Edge New Rider Course trained its 100,000th student, Michael Lambert of Estero, Fla., on March 22-26, at Harley-Davidson of Naples. Lambert, age 39, decided to learn to ride a motorcycle when he fell in love with the dark and sinister 2007 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL1200N Nightster. Earlier this year, while waiting for the restaurant next to the dealership to open, Lambert took a stroll through the sales area to check out the new motorcycles. When he saw the new Nightster, he had to have it. Lambert planned to buy the Nightster after he completed the New Rider Course, but unfortunately the last one was sold only 2 hours before the end of his class. Lambert eagerly waited for the next one to be delivered to the dealership, and he was finally able to take home his new Nightster on April 21. Lambert is one of many students who buy a motorcycle after taking the New Rider Course and getting a taste of the open road. Rider’s Edge – the Harley-Davidson Academy of Motorcycling was created in 2000 to equip riders with the skills needed for a safer riding experience. The program teaches the proper skills that give both new and current riders more confidence, which in turn makes the riding experience more enjoyable. Rider’s Edge also helps students develop a support network through the dealership to assist riders with future adventures. The Rider’s Edge New Rider Course is offered in 40 states through 157 authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships. Three educational courses are offered: the Rider’s Edge New Rider Course, the Rider’s Edge Skilled Rider Course and the Rider’s Edge/MSF Guide to Group Riding video. The New Rider Course is a great way to learn to ride and experience the fun and excitement of riding a motorcycle. The interactive course includes both classroom instruction and training on a controlled range. Participants learn on the Buell Blast motorcycle, starting slowly to become familiar with the bike and then shifting into higher gears with learning to brake, turn and maneuver. Upon completion of the New Rider Course, which uses the proven curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s (MSF) Basic RiderCourse, students receive an MSF Completion Card. The card may help with getting their motorcycle license in most states, as well as possible discounts on insurance. The Skilled Rider Course gives current riders additional training and practice to enhance riding skills. The Rider’s Edge/MSF Guide to Group Riding helps hone the skills of motorcyclists who frequently ride with groups of other motorcyclists. BIKERNET OPENS BROTHEL, BUT DON’T TELL ANYONE– The Bikernet.com madam opened the brothel door and saw a rather dignified, well-dressed, good-looking man in his late forties or early fifties. “May I help you?” she asked. “I want to see Valerie,” the man replied. “Sir, Valerie is one of our most expensive ladies. Perhaps you would prefer someone else,” said the madam. “No. I must see Valerie,” he replied. Just then, Valerie appeared and announced to the man that she charged $5,000 a visit. Without hesitation, the man pulled out five thousand dollars and gave them to Valerie, and they went upstairs. After an hour, the man calmly left. The next night, the same man appeared again, once more demanding to see Valerie. Valerie explained that no one had ever come back two nights in a row — too expensive — and there were no discounts. The price was still $5,000. Again the man pulled out the money, gave it to Valerie, and they went upstairs. After an hour, he left. The following night the man was there yet again. Everyone was astounded that he had come for a third consecutive night, but he paid Valerie and they went upstairs. After their session, Valerie questioned the man. “No one has ever been with me three nights in a row. Where are you from?” she asked. The man replied, “West Virginia.” “Really” she said. “I have family in West Virginia.” “I know,” the man said. “Your father died, and I am your sister’s attorney. She asked me to give you your $15,000 inheritance.” The moral of the story is that three things in life are certain: –from Rik S.
