Hey,
This is completely off the hook, but we might produce the Easyriders Experience and have it available for events all over the country.
The Nov/Dec issue went to press. I made a handful of changes. I’m working with everyone in the industry to support the code of the west and bring Easyriders back. It got its ass kicked a couple of times, but we still have the cool gang with a ton of heart to make it happen again.
No bullshit, just bikes, broads and wild twisted shit that will blow your mind.
Let’s hit the news.
The News was provided by the Bikernet Team including: Wayfarer, the Redhead, Bob T. Sam Burns, Rogue, Laura, Barry Green, El Waggs, J.J. Solari, Amy White, Jenn and the rest of the crew.
The Bikernet Weekly News is sponsored in part by companies who also dig Freedom including: Cycle Source Magazine, the MRF, Iron Trader News, ChopperTown, BorntoRide.com and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum.

Okay, that was my first Bike feature in early ’71– Not on the staff, Pete Chiodo shot the photos with 2.25 by 2.25 film. Lou Kimzey hired me to be the manager of ABATE during the production of the magazine. I worked part-time, while I rode to Long Beach City College on the G.I. Bill. I left the Navy after three tours in Vietnam as an electronic technician. At night I rode into San Pedro with a Long Beach Outlaw and hung out with Hangmen. I kicked off my grubby biker ways at 15 on the streets of Long Beach. That’s how it started.

HEY–
A brother lured me to his Deadwood house with his wife’s luscious chili rellenos and 100 percent Agave Reposado. His 1950 Panhead build almost completed struggled with kick-start only issues.
He even took it to the famous Jason Mook at Deadwood Custom Cycles. Okay, so now it’s back in his half shop garage, hoisted on a 45-trike lift we looked at his new roller starter from Doc Z, a SOLO rig with a massive truck battery hooked to two individual electric motors for $1200 bucks. I helped him set it up. We made a few adjustments and spun it over.
We shifted gears and strapped down the front end. Next, he needs to check the plugs, connect the battery and make sure we have fuel. More tequila and we’ll attempt to fire it to life.

Happy Birthday (in spirit) to John Lennon
by Wayfarer
Born on 9 October 1940, John Lennon would have been, well old, if he was with us today.
Who knew the world would someday celebrate ~85 years (and counting) of Lennon lifestyle, lyrical mystique, and globe-tottering idealism?
Yes, it’s the guy who told us to “Imagine” a world with no possessions as also once told us to “do you know you’re in the movie?” — and by “movie,” he probably meant life itself (or maybe my ancestors in ‘A Hard Day’s Night’).
On this celebratory day, we offer wit and wordplay to gently nudge his soul to reform itself as a boy band or bot or a bat virus that puts everyone together in bed amidst closed doors and uncurtained open windows. This mirth is a merry tribute to John.
Asking us to Imagine peace — he left us pop-culture trivia buffs imagining how many times he said “peace, love, and a little bit of trouble.”
When he co-wrote with Paul McCartney, it was a partnership perfect enough to be called “Mr and Mrs McLennon”. Both their wives were jealous of their on-road time together.
John Lennon’s solo track “Instant Karma!” teaches us that some things come all at once — like a wave of rejection emails flooding the inbox when you finally submit your idea for a parody obituary article that no publisher ever wants to consider, no matter the person under consideration. (See what happened to Jimmy Kimmel while he was ‘Live’).
John lived in New York, so maybe we should call today a good day to send National Guards to end gun violence and bad music in New York. Maybe the Armed Forces would have to be summoned to stop the strange music.
More seriously (yes, ‘tuning’ it down just a notch), Lennon’s legacy is both joyful and profound. He challenged norms, wove politics and peace into pop music, and insisted that songs could be more than entertainment — they could be weapons of love. Yet, he gave us a new reason to again bomb Japan.
What better way to celebrate Lennon’s birth anniversary than to misquote his witty writings on social media, skip-stream his solo music works on Spotify, or quietly hum “Across the Universe” while pretending to understand Yoga as you try to meet younger women at the local club. Washing dishes to Lucy in the Sky works as well because it reminds the better-half that she can score another diamond for trading places at the sink (because—hey—love & freedom is in the mundane and is still love & freedom).
So, here’s to John Lennon — mischief-maker, melody-musician, dramatic-dreamer. May your birthday be as rebellious as a Bed-Peace sign, as hopeful as a Yellow Submarine, and as Free as a Bird (last one is a home demo song written & recorded by John Lennon; for trivia followers). May your dreams be fulfilled in spirit or by the spirits inspired from your verse, your secret love be revealed as all-encompassing as the blessings of a Yogi and may your style of ‘glares’ (shades, glasses, Ray-Ban’s) look good on me again as I try to lose weight, not hair.
Peace, love, and as a “shot in the dark”, a better form of joy, for pleasure is not the same as happiness.
Thanks & regards,
Wayfarer

Government Relations Roundup — New Ethanol Blends Now Allowed in California
California Assembly Bill 30 became law on October 2, allowing gas stations in the state to sell gasoline containing 10.5% to 15% ethanol (E15). The Motorcycle Industry Council, Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association, and Specialty Vehicle Institute of America opposed the legislation because it does not require clear pump labeling, which could increase the risk of improper fueling.
Most motorcycles, ATVs, and other small engines are not designed for E15 and can be seriously damaged by using it. Additionally, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency prohibits the use of E15 in all motorcycles, ATVs, and ROVs. Powersports users in California should take extra care to confirm they’re filling up with the correct fuel.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT– Harvard Hires Drag Queen Named “LaWhore Vagistan” as Visiting Professor
Harvard charges $86,926 for a year of school, room, and board. Given that mind-bogglingly high rate, you’d think the university’s students would only receive instruction from the world’s most distinguished, accomplished, and studious academic minds. People like Robert Oppenheimer or Alan Turing. Maybe even Albert Einstein.
You know what parents shelling out fortunes for their kids to attend the elite Ivy League institution probably don’t expect? Classes taught by drag queens. But they’re getting at least one.
Harvard recently hired a visiting professor who goes by “LaWhore Vagistan” to teach in its Women, Gender, and Sexuality department. LaWhore reportedly instructs courses on “Queer Ethnography,” which centers around “gay neighborhoods, trans raves, sex work, and lesbian parties,” and “Drag, Race, and Desire.”
You may be wondering where the professor got such a spicy nickname. She explained in a 2015 interview. She chose “LaWhore” because, in her words, she’s “a bit of a whore,” and “Vagistan” because she sees her home subcontinent of India as “one, big, beautiful Vag … istan.” How inspiring.

RACING REPORT
Rusty Butcher’s first-ever Hooligan 100 at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch wasn’t about “normal” motorcycles or serious racing—it was about oddball machines, super-tight trails, and a crew of riders who came to have fun no matter what. Sportsters in the woods, sketchy lines, and plenty of laughs made it one for the books. Geoff Kowalchuk shot a bunch of great photos and we even got a full lap video from Tyler Valentik that shows exactly how brutal this year’s course was.

Pan America comes to Town from the Wild side
What’s the 2025 Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 ST?
—Wayfarer
NEW ASPECTS–
More road-biased setup — The ST version is tuned for pavement rather than off-road extremes: lowered suspension, reduced ride height, and 17-inch wheels front & rear. This shifts its center of gravity down and improves lean & handling on tarmac.
Michelin Scorcher Sport tyres — These are much more road-oriented tyres compared to the more dual-sport or adventure style tyres. Better grip, better feel on pavement.
Adaptive Ride Height (ARH) — On many models, the ARH feature lets the bike lower itself when stopped, and then raise back up during motion. Helps with mounting, stopping, especially for shorter riders.
Quicker shifting — A bi-directional quickshifter (up and down gears without clutch) is now standard. Makes shifting more seamless especially in sporty/road riding.
Styling & aerodynamics tweaks — New lower front fender, smoked/low-profile windshield, reduced bodywork (less protruding guards etc.), blacked-out styling. It’s sleeker and more streamlined for road speeds.
Suspension & braking — SHOWA Balance-Free front forks (47mm) and monoshock rear, with electronically adjustable preload plus manual damping adjustments. Brembo brakes (dual front monoblocks at front, large rotors) for stronger stopping performance.
Maintained powertrain stats — The bike keeps its Revolution Max 1250 engine (~150 hp, ~127 Nm depending on market) so customers still get serious punch.

WHAT’S NEXT–I wish I knew. I spoke to Agent Zebra tonight about freedom and how Easyriders Magazine could build confidence in America and point out how the other guys are trying to destroy our country. Hang on.

A Brother is moving to Aberdine the home of Matt Olsen and his dad. He said the bugs will kill his riding abilities in the area and is selling his 1999 Springer Softail. A beautiful machine, he’s selling it before he hits the road.

I would buy it at the right price.

H

Here’s a bike Felicia shot recently at an event. It’s a classic.
Hang on, we’re going to shake up the industy or die trying. We all need to pull together for freedom and America.
Ride fast and free forever,
–Bandit
