NUDITY IN EASYRIDERS–
Someone recently asked me if nudity would be a part of Easyriders Magazine in the future. It’s a tough one. About 20 years ago a nude women ruined my last marriage. Another naked broad stole my favorite pickup truck. Still another slippery sort showed up at my front door. I paid her bills, fixed her car and she refused to move to San Pedro with me. Finally, one so delicious mesmerized me until I allowed her three teenage kids to move in and torture me for 17 years and then she ran off with a sailor. She left the kids behind. What do you think?

BAKER Drivetrain Welcomes James Simonelli as Brand Manager
Haslett, MI – September 25, 2025 – BAKER Drivetrain, the industry leader in American-made motorcycle drivetrain innovations, is proud to announce the hiring of James Simonelli as its new Brand Manager. Simonelli, well known in motorcycling’s technical circles, makes his return to BAKER after working for the company earlier in his 40-year career.
Simonelli has expertise in design, fabrication, product development, technical support, sales and marketing. His career has taken him from custom fabrication shops to some of the most respected brand names in the industry, including S&S Cycle and Turn 14 Distribution. This new role marks a homecoming for Simonelli, who previously spent seven years at BAKER Drivetrain and played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s dealer relationships and new product portfolio.
“I’m thrilled to have James back with us at BAKER Drivetrain,” said BAKER Drivetrain President Lisa Baker. “His technical expertise, enthusiasm, and proven brand-building approach will help drive our product and marketing to the next level. He’s a great addition to our BAKER Gearhead Crew.”

Most recently, Simonelli served as Brand Manager for Twin Power and Biker’s Choice at Turn 14 Distribution, directing brand strategies, product launches, and growth initiatives.
“It’s exciting to be back at BAKER Drivetrain,” said Simonelli. “With the responsibilities they’ve given me, I can have a big influence on the future of the company. My focus is on innovation and growth of our product line and I’m really happy that I’ll be face-to-face with our customers, representing BAKER at shows, rallies and races.”
Simonelli’s world revolves around machines. He’s grown from minibike racing as a child to winning motorcycle land speed records at the Ohio Mile, while finding time to get some highway miles in as well. His garage is packed with ongoing projects, of both the two-wheeled and four-wheeled variety.

SENATE CONFIRMS NHTSA Administrator–
Last week, the U.S. Senate confirmed Jonathan Morrison to serve as Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Morrison is the first Senate-confirmed leader of the agency since 2022.
This confirmation comes at a pivotal moment for transportation safety. NHTSA is responsible for overseeing dozens of open investigations into potential defects in cars and trucks, including several high-profile cases involving Tesla. However, more importantly for the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF), Morrison will lead the federal government’s efforts to craft regulations for autonomous vehicles (AVs).
At his July confirmation hearing, Morrison told lawmakers that NHTSA “cannot sit back and wait for problems to arrive with such developing technologies.” He emphasized the need for federal rules to accelerate the deployment of self-driving cars. While the MRF agrees that strong leadership is needed in this area, we remain vigilant to ensure that “rapid deployment” does not come at the expense of motorcyclist safety.
For years, the MRF has warned that automated driving systems too often fail to properly detect and respond to motorcycles. This is not a hypothetical risk, it’s a real-world danger when testing and regulations are written without motorcyclists in mind. As the nation’s top auto safety regulator, Morrison will have a direct hand in determining whether motorcycles are prioritized in testing protocols, data collection, and performance standards for AVs.
The MRF will closely monitor NHTSA’s next steps and continue to make the case in Washington that the safety of motorcyclists must never be overlooked in the rush to roll out self-driving technology. Policymakers, industry leaders, and regulators need to hear from riders across the country.
Your continued support ensures that the MRF can keep fighting for your right to ride free and safe, no matter what new technologies emerge on America’s roads.

WORDMONGER– Hi Bandit!
Hope you are well- a bunch of us were admiring Duffy Duggan’s art in ER. Being as so much is known about Dave Mann, we were curious about Duffy.
Can you relate anything, did he ride, is he still with us? Many thanks.
Best regards,

THE TORCH IS LIT— Northern Tool + Equipment & American Flat Track– Introduce Legends Build: Student Challenge, a Harley-Davidson XR750 Inspired Motorcycle
Students from LaVergne High School in Tennessee will weld, wrench and paint their way to a one-of-a-kind flat track motorcycle – learning the trades, honoring legends and inviting you to follow along
Today, Northern Tool + Equipment and American Flat Track announced the launch of the Legends Build: Student Challenge, a nine-month journey where high school career & technical education (CTE) students will transform a 2025 Harley-Davidson Nightster into a XR750 inspired motorcycle under the mentorship of legendary racers and builders.
Only knowing they’d been selected for the project, but not knowing what they’d build, students were surprised to see legend Scott Parker ride in on a XR750 flat track bike, revealing they’d have 174 days to build a race-ready version themselves. This challenge shines a spotlight on one of America’s most iconic and untamed racing traditions: American Flat Track. It’s fast. It’s fearless. It’s raw mechanical mastery on two wheels.
“We were sure it was going to be a sprint kart. When they told us we’d be building a race bike, it blew our minds. It’s insane,” said one student builder.
The students won’t be alone on this build; they will learn directly from some of the most respected names in racing and fabrication: Scott Parker, Chris Carr, Kenny Coolbeth Jr., Billy Lane and many more!
“The students had their theories—some of them pretty wild—and they were all wrong,” added Jason Bowers, the CTE teacher leading the class. “When we saw Scott Parker ride up on a flat track race motorcycle, we stood there with our jaws open. Our brains started spinning with questions forming. Now, we’re starting to realize just how tough this sport is—and how much the motorcycle we’re building matters to a racer’s success.”
To help the students get started, Northern Tool + Equipment, along with partners, American Flat Track, Bubba Boswell, Boswell’s Harley-Davidson, DEWALT, Harley-Davidson Motor Company and Milwaukee have decked out the school’s shop class with tens of thousands of dollars in donated tools, equipment, parts and safety gear.
“At Northern Tool, we believe in putting tools in hands and confidence in hearts. The Legends Build is more than a motorcycle – it’s a demonstration of how much the trades matter, that they’re rewarding and that the next generation can carry this torch forward,” said Frank Crowson, Chief Marketing Officer, Northern Tool + Equipment. “I love everything about this program and this project, including the fact that this year the torch will be carried by our first female build captain!”
The project is part of a growing legacy of trades-focused challenges created by Northern Tool + Equipment alongside icons of motorsport and fabrication. In 2023, Northern Tool partnered with NASCAR Legend Richard Petty and Billy Lane’s Sons of Speed to introduce students to the art of building and racing, bringing national attention to the program. This year, that tradition continues— and grows—with former NASCAR Racer Kyle Petty also lending his support.
“Racing builds character, but building the bike builds a future,” said Kyle Petty, racing legend and host of the YouTube series following the students throughout the build.
Fans, families and future tradespeople can subscribe to Northern Tool’s YouTube channel for monthly updates from the school’s shop. For the first time ever, the story will also be told through the eyes of the students. Armed with cameras, they’ll capture the highs, lows, mistakes, inside jokes and breakthroughs of the build. Watch for student-created updates on social media.
The final bike will be revealed on June 6th at Tennessee National Raceway in an American Flat Track Legends exhibition race. After the race, the bike will be auctioned with the proceeds benefiting the Tools for the Trades™ program, Kyle Petty’s Victory Junction nonprofit and the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.

Biker Rights Are Under Attack
Will You Fade Away?
Rooms are vanishing. Your rights are under fire. And if you’re still glued to your couch while NHTSA, EPA, and every other out-of-control government agency tries to shove your motorcycle and your freedom into the archives — you’re not part of the fight. You’re part of the problem.
The 41st Annual Meeting of the Minds isn’t a social hour. And if you’re not there — you’re letting someone else carry your weight.
This isn’t a poker run.
This isn’t a weekend of Sons of Anarchy reruns.
This isn’t optional.
This is where biker rights are armed, sharpened, and deployed. The MRF brings solutions. You bring the backbone.
What the hell are you waiting for? A couch with wheels?
Freedom isn’t free—and it sure as hell isn’t passive.
Our fight started 50+ years ago when a handful of riders took the battle to Capitol Hill.
Now it’s your turn to step the hell up.
Still need a reason? Here’s what you’re missing if you don’t show up:
Insider tactics on crushing anti-motorcycle legislation
What they don’t want you to know about Search & Seizure
The fight to save your Right to Repair & Modify
Owning your narrative in the social media battlefield
Bridging the generation gap in this movement
16 action-packed, strategy-loaded workshops
Keynotes. Panels. Power moves. No fluff.
Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino – Shreveport, LA – Sept 25-28, 2025
Biker-friendly? Damn right. Freedom-friendly? Even better.
Flying in? Free airport shuttle: 318-424-7777
You say you care about your rights? PROVE IT.
You want to ride free next year? FIGHT FOR IT NOW.
You think someone else will handle it? THEY WON’T.
This is your call to action.
Get off the couch. Book your room. Pack your fire. Freedom’s waiting — but it won’t wait long.

Hello to all!
I am letting you all know that with a bit of apprehension that I am shutting down After Hours Choppers. Some of you will be aware as I have already made this known on social media. Times have changed and I think I need to find a new direction once we’re finished building the new home & shop, I don’t know exactly what that will be just yet.
I will keep selling parts as I currently have inventory – but production has been halted for good. If there’s anything that you’re after please let me know or order from the site. If you contact me directly I can offer a little more of a break on multiple purchases. I will post odds & ends that aren’t on the site as I dig them out of the abyss.
THANK YOU FOR 21 YEARS OF SUPPORT!!!!!!
–Sam Burns

HOW TO– end the “100% renewable” fraud–
An FTC rule called the “Green Guides” lets Apple, Google, Meta and hundreds of other companies claim be “100% renewable” while using mostly fossil fuel electricity.
Apple, Google, Meta and hundreds of other companies claim be “100% renewable” while using mostly fossil fuel electricity.
How is this possible?
Because an FTC rule called the “Green Guides” lets them buy so-called “credits” to count others’ solar and wind use as their own.
No significant US company is close to being “100% renewable,” since all such companies rely on the mostly fossil fuel electricity grid.
But in 2012, the Obama FTC rewrote a guidance document called the “Green Guides” to let companies falsely claim to be “100% renewable” anyway.
The FTC has published the “Green Guides” since 1992 to specify what constitutes deceptive environmental marketing claims under The FTC Act.
In particular the Green Guides specify when it is misleading—and therefore illegal—to claim to use a given amount of “renewable” energy.
Under the Obama FTC’s update of the Green Guides, companies are allowed to claim they are powered by any percentage “renewable” energy they wish, if they purchase enough “renewable energy certificates” (RECs) to “match” their non-renewable electricity use.
RECs are claims to credit for “renewable” electricity that someone else is using.
For example, if Apple actually consumes 15% of its electricity from “renewable” sources and 50% from fossil fuel sources, it can spend a lot of money on RECs and then claim to be 65% “renewable.”
Buying RECs not only gives a company false credit for others’ “renewable” use, it also gives others false blame for a company’s fossil fuel use.
When Apple buys RECs, it foists the blame for Apple’s fossil fuel use onto ratepayers and less wealthy (or less dishonest) companies.
In practice, the Obama Green Guides have enabled hundreds of companies to falsely and absurdly claim to be “100% renewable” while running mostly on fossil fuels—and foist the blame for their fossil fuel usage onto citizens and other companies.
