THE NOBLE BIKERNET WEEKLY NEWS for November 20th, 2025,

Hey,

This has been a wild week. We finally mastered the Easyriders archives and with the help of Jeremy and his crew they moved the massive 54 years of data, film, merch and pins to Bandit’s 5-Ball Emporium Sturgis, SD.

We are in the throes of wrapping up my first complete issue #598 after being away from the halls of Easyriders for 25 years, yet emersed in the digital side of the moto- journalistic action. Always with the love of the Chopper realm and the V-twin industry at my back.

As you can imagine I’ve encountered old school personalities, the newest hip realm, the regulatory side and corporate greed.

In just a few wild, non-stop weeks we worked on building a team, made changes to issue #597, which is on the stands now, moved the archives, studied revamping Easyriders events, rodeos and shows and started building a social media presence.

I’ve blundered and made mistakes. Over this weekend I will read every word, once more, in the Jan/Feb issue of 2026.

In a world on the brink of insanity, I’m searching for the truth, freedom and inspiration.

This morning as I sat down on Joe Teresi’s leather chair, which doesn’t fit my 6’4” frame just yet. I reached under my blotter and pulled out a tattered copy of the Optimists’ Creed. Here’s the final line:

Promise yourself to be too noble for anger, to large for worry, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Check it out. It’s amazing and inspiring especially on a difficult day.

Let’s hit the news:

The News was provided by the Bikernet Team including: Wayfarer, the Redhead, Bob T. Sam Burns, Rogue, Laura, Barry Green, El Waggs, J.J. Solari, Amy White, Jenn and the rest of the crew.

The Bikernet Weekly News is sponsored in part by companies who also dig Freedom including: Easyriders Magazine, Cycle Source Magazine, the MRF, Iron Trader News, ChopperTown, BorntoRide.com and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum.

NEW FROM BILTWELL– A L U M I C O R E

Grips Kits & Replacements

It’s this simple – plastic throttle tubes suck. Our AlumiCore grip system gives you a CNC-machined throttle on the right and a fixed grip body on the left. Both sides have replaceable TPV rubber grip sleeves. If you want to change out the sleeves for a new color or shape, it’s a super quick and easy process that doesn’t require removing the throttle. We’ve got ’em for all Harleys that use a two-cable throttle system or throttle-by-wire for 1″ or 7/8″ applications.

RIGHT TO MODIFY–This is why the right to modify is so important for us. It allows us to change things so we are not reliant on the manufacturer. Recently talking with SEMA they are concerned how manufacturers can work around right to repair and they are trying to focus on right to modify and backing it into right to repair. Obviously the manufacturers are going to try to fuck us no matter what.

NEW FROM THE LOWBROW GANG–Do you have a problem with your stock ignition?

Or, are you looking for better performance?

A Dynatek 2000i Electronic Ignition System could be a better-than-stock option that will cure what ails you on ’83 and later Evo Harleys (Sportster & Big Twin).

Dyna S ignitions are super popular for good reasons, including improved reliability and high performance.

Hello Friends,

Surprise, surprise (not) I just came off another ride. This one was 900 miles to Arizona where I met up with the AMCA Roadrunner (Phoenix) Chapter. The ride was to Prescott, up on top of the mountain, which is a super nice ride with super nice people. They call this one the Halloween ride.

Several folks commented, “You came a long way just for our little one-day ride”. Well, yes, but these folks are all so enthusiastic, so welcoming and the ride is awesome, too. Some of them are super techie guys working in cutting edge areas like computer, military, robotics, AI and such; super advanced stuff that most of us can’t even comprehend. So to experience them riding old bikes from the 20’s and early 30’s is pure fun for me.

My ride is also fulfilling in itself for me personally. As I get older it’s gratifying to know I can still knock out 400 miles a day (without a windshield) and still test new products, which I will reveal at a later date. I’ve got one more ride to do next week to knock out another 600 miles that will put me around 2600 miles of product testing.

The ride to AZ has its remote parts but this next ride is super remote way out in the desert. They don’t even bother to put cell towers out there, which suits me just fine. It builds character and confidence in one’s product. Mind you, the engine in my ‘39 Chief is rattly as can be, has almost no compression on one cylinder, sorta 1/3rd compression on the other, and consumes a quart of oil in 150 miles. But as an old mate used to say, Columbus took a chance and look at the mess he got us into! (For the record I’ve never confirmed the basis of that statement but it sure sounds good.)

Here we go again!

A FEW THOUGHTS ON TARIFFS–

Just to be clear, this is NOT a political statement and if anyone does draw political conclusions they are not only sadly wrong but missing my point completely. This is about how tariffs effect one little company in the United States whose business involves exporting parts and motorcycles.

I’ve been in business for 37 years and am the only Indian parts manufacturer left in the United States under its original founder and owner. So the depth and memory is long.

Over those 37 years I have seen my business drop (and others experience the same thing) dramatically to the European Union (EU) countries. This is due to trade barriers of up to 60% set up by the EU and other countries, including Australia and New Zealand. My customers are okay with the actual price in US dollars, but when they look into it further and see their country’s import tariffs, whether it be for parts or motorcycles, the deal falls apart. On the other hand and in the past, companies in those other countries knock off my products (counterfeit) and sell them back into the United States cheaper than my price – and with NO tariffs. American consumers have enjoyed that free benefit at the cost of many of us U.S. businesses.

Recently an EU company advertised 18-inch Indian rims on Facebook. I couldn’t believe how many Indian owners in the US jumped on the bandwagon to order them. These same rims are readily available from the U.S. supplier and myself, quality-made in the United States at a slightly higher price with a proven record. I know that former eastern block countries can make products cheaper (similar price to China) but knocking off my parts and selling them to Americans at a lesser price tariff-free isn’t fair. The magic word here is “fair.”

Meanwhile us American companies are penalized by those country’s high tariffs, which purposely makes us non-competitive. From my point of view, I’ve seen the gradual erosion of American manufacturing since coming to this country in 1982 as the rules have changed. My good mate Wally, who works for one of the top NASCAR teams, is fine with following the rules in that sport, as long as everyone plays by the same rules. I’m good with that concept, too, if we all play by the same rules. Fair is fair!

IT’S NEVER OVER– I spoke to a dozen folks about the history and the future of Easyriders today. Folks are excited and want to be a part of the movement, but it’s a fucking struggle from the beginning to the end. I won’t even go into a couple of the elements. I can’t imagine opening a restaurant today. Just the regulations and requirements would choke a horse and keep three hardworking folks busy.

I received my new business cards today. We have a tremendous opportunity to save the Easyriders brand, but nothing will be easy. The magazine market has changed, the internet has changes, the world has changes, but there are still opportunities. We can make it happen, but we need your help.

Here’s the truck that delivered the archives. And here’s one shot of binders of issues from editors.

And here’s a score from a single box.

And how about this ballcap. Hang on for the Easyriders shop.

Hang on for more reports. I need to pour a double Jack and relax.

Ride fast and free forever!
