CHECK BIKERRADIO MAGAZINE– We had a quick chat about www.bikerradiomagazine.com and I forward this link to you to have a look at my site.

Quickly, this is a non-commercial site ( at the moment ) and I fund it solely with a little cash I set aside each month. I do not ask for money to do interviews. I do not ask for product of any kind in exchange for interviews. These interview segments are not designed to be commercials for anyone/company I talk to but rather I ask for the more entertaining side of things to keep folks feeling like they are eaves dropping or just sitting in at a table over a few drinks. I do not charge people to listen or download the shows. They are free.

Cardo Systems Announces Launch of SCALA RIDER Q2? MULTISET– One For You, One For a Friend; Two Ready-to-Use Enhanced Scala Rider Q2 Wireless Headsets Packaged Together For Instantaneous, Clear Bike-to-Bike Communications* Right Out of the Box.

EVERY HEADSET INCLUDES AN MP3 JACK SO EACH RIDER CAN LISTEN TO THEIR OWN MUSIC OF CHOICE

Pittsburgh, PA ? Cardo Systems, Inc., the world?s market leader in the field of wireless Bluetooth? communications for motorcycle helmet headsets, today announced the launch of its new product, the SCALA RIDER? Q2? MULTISET. The MULTISET retail box includes two ready-to-use, enhanced SCALA RIDER? Q2? wireless headsets for hands-free and safe bike-to-bike communication (up to 500m/1640ft)* as well as for hands-free conversations when paired with mobile phones.

The Q2 MULTISET was created with the safety, convenience and enjoyment of motorcyclists in mind. The headsets come pre-paired so that riders can instantly begin communicating with each other. For added entertainment, an MP3 jack is included in both headsets which allow each rider to connect their personal MP3 player to the unit so they can each enjoy their own music. Incoming intercom messages and mobile phone calls automatically override the MP3 music so hands never have to leave the handlebars. An extra large, wind-resistant 195 mm microphone has also been included to greatly enhance sound quality. ?With the SCALA RIDER? Q2?. MULTISET we continue to empower bikers with the best communication technology available, without compromising safety. To offer a smooth out-of-the-box experience the two headsets come factory paired, so that users can instantly start enjoying the product. As the fifth addition to our SCALA RIDER? line of products, we keep pushing the envelope for our customers by offering optimal solutions for every need?, said Abraham Glezerman, CEO of Cardo Systems, Inc. The two enhanced SCALA RIDER? Q2? headsets featured in the MULTISET retail box employ Multiple Device Connection (MDC) technology, with added features that allow bikers to connect wirelessly by Bluetooth? to several audio sources including the following: in-helmet voice instructions from a GPS unit, mobile phone conversations with third parties and intercom conversations with passengers and with other bikers. The headsets also feature high-quality FM radio transmissions from the embedded FM radio. Whether you are riding your motorcycle with a friend on another motorcycle or riding with a passenger, the SCALA RIDER? Q2?. MULTISET is a great way to communicate with another biker while on the road.

The SCALA RIDER? Q2?. MULTISET headsets are also fully backward-compatible with the entire line of earlier SCALA RIDER? models. In addition to MDC technology and Bike-to-Bike intercom communications*, the MULTISET pair offers the same high-quality performance as in previous SCALA RIDER? models, including wind impact reduction, voice controlled receipt and rejection of incoming calls, automatic volume adjustment according to driving speed and ambient noise, full rain and snow protection and more.

The new SCALA RIDER Q2? MULTISET is now available through select distributors, retail outlets, specialty motorcycle shops, and directly from the Cardo Systems with a suggested retail price of $395.95. About Cardo Systems, Inc.

NO COLORS CONTROVERSY– We are all aware of the controversy that has been going on for a long time about Colors. Many places have refused to let people in wearing them. There will always be a discussion on if this is right or wrong.

No matter what you think about the subject it has gotten out of hand. At Daytona Biketoberfest some places had signs ?NO COLORS? it should be noted so as to not be prejudice to any certain group this pertained to everyone wearing a back patch. The Viet Nam Vets who fought for our rights, Christian Motorcycle Association, Harley Owners Group and ABATE a legislative organization would have to remove the piece of clothing if they wanted to enter.

A few years ago in Sturgis a State Senator was refused admittance to a place because he wore a vest for a Legislative Motorcycle Organization.

Now we have Thomas O?Brien a US Attorney (prosecutor) who wants a judge to allow the confiscation of a motorcycle clubs Trademarked Club Name meaning no one would be allowed to wear a jacket or ride a motorcycle bearing that brand. He made the statement ?It would allow law enforcement to seize the leather jackets right off their backs? and I also read into that if the motorcycle itself had the name of the club on it they would confiscate that as well.

I am suggesting if he is successful in this it will open the door to other abuses by the federal government and law enforcement. Everyone who rides a motorcycle and especially those who wear any kind of back patch should object to this confiscation.

We have seen numerous other laws that started off as one thing and then spread like a cancer and being abused by law enforcement, Do Not Let This Be Another One.

MEXICO RUN REVIEWED–I read your article by Ian McDonald “2008 Mexican Standoff-Fuck Outta Here Run” and couldn’t stop laughing. I thought it was gonna be a cool article about partying and adventure and riding in Mexico. WRONG!! HE TURNED AROUND?! WTF?!! Are you kidding me? Seriously?!

I would be honored to present another Mexico run some friends and I did at the exact same time. And honestly, I don’t know what the fuck Ian’s talking about with the roads. We did the EXACT same highway on the way down, and then took a ferry across the Sea of Cortez to Baja, rode to Cabo and stayed and partied for 4 days (yes, our wives were even brave enough to join us) and then rode back up the Baja peninsula. We did 2300 miles in about 10 days, including the 4 days lazin’ in Cabo. It was the trip of a lifetime. And nobody soiled their panties when the unexpected happened. One guy even had his wife on the back the whole ride (GASP!) Maybe next year Ian can ride with her to protect him–LOL!

Seriously though, I’ll stop baggin’ on him and just say that we all had the trip of a lifetime–it was AWESOME. I took more pictures than a Japanese tourist and would love the opportunity to present another side to riding in our fair neighbor to the south if you’re interested. Say the word, and I’ll write a brief (and hopefully funny) travel report on our experiences. You can check out our pix at www.vivamexico1.shutterfly.com if you’re interested.

Suffice it to say, we all enjoyed it so much, we’re planning another trip for next year to see Copper Canyon in Chihuahua state.

–Brad B.

We look forward to any adventuresome ride reports. Hell, Jerry Petty and Bandit are planning a Saxon Motorcycle jam to Rocky Point, Mexico at the tip of the Sea of Cortez. We’ll leave out of Mesa, Arizona and peel due south. We’ll bring you that report next year.–Wrench

BIKERNET QUOTE OF THE WEEK– The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt.

People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.

BIKERS ARE BIGGEST, SAYS MOTOGP SURVEY– Submitted by: Monument PR Worldwide Wednesday, 22 October 2008 Poll Finds Bikers Thought To Have Biggest Manhoods. Bikers are the best endowed motorists on Britain’s roads, says a new survey commissioned to mark the launch of racing game MotoGP 08.

The poll of 3000 people showed that more than half of those surveyed believe bikers to be better endowed than any other motorists, with 51% of those polled picking motorbike owners over car drivers as being likely to impress between the legs.

It’s not just in the manhood stakes that bikers win out, though – 57% of those surveyed found members of the opposite sex in biking leathers a turn-on (65% of men and 53% of women), with brunettes considered those most likely to get the pulse racing whilst in the saddle.

And it’s great news for bikers in Wales, who are considered hotter there than any other place in Great Britain. 75% of Welsh people surveyed found members of the opposite sex on bikes a turn-on, with 87.5% thinking bikes are a bigger attraction than supercars, and a further 87.5% believing that motorbike riders are the best endowed of all motorists.

Editors Notes: The survey of 3000 people was conducted by 72 Point on behalf of Capcom Games. MotoGP 08 is released on October 24th on PS3, XBox 360, PC and PS2.
