THE CORRECT WAY TO COME HOME DRUNK– Two married buddies are out drinking one night, when one turns to the other and says, ‘You know, I don’t know what else to do. Whenever I go home after we’ve been out drinking, I turn the headlights off before I get to the driveway. I shut off the engine and coast into the garage. Take my shoes off before I go into the house, I sneak up the stairs, get undressed in the bathroom, stick my foot in the toilet and pee down my leg to prevent splashing sounds. I ease into bed and my wife STILL wakes up, and yells at me for staying out so late!
His buddy looks at him and says ‘Well, you’re obviously taking the wrong approach. I screech into the driveway, slam the door, storm up the steps, pee hard into the toilet water, then use the full flush, throw my shoes in the closet, undress in the bedroom, then jump into bed, slap her on the ass and say, WHO’S HORNY????!!!’ and she acts like she’s sound asleep!

Originally established in 1985 by California Governor George Deukmejian, the Women’s Conference is the nation’s premier forum for women, this year’s theme was We Empower. Its mission is to empower women to be Architects of Change in their homes, their workplaces, their communities and the world around them.

BIKERNET WORKING WITH ANTIQUE CLUB OF AMERICA ON MEMBERSHIP DRIVE– Matt Olsen, a young man who rebuilds Knuckleheads with his dad is working with Bikernet and the AMCA to encourage young folks to learn the mechanics of building and restoring bikes. He would also like to see the younger membership of AMCA grow. “Here are a couple pics of the reproduction crocker taillight that was donated by Lonnie at Competition Distribution,” Matt said. He is collecting parts to build a 45 Flathead and give it to the kid who writes the coolest motorcycle story and sends it to the AMCA. MYSTERY FLATHEAD 45 TECH INFO FROM FATBOB–I’m appalled, the difference is only in vin numbers. The servicars were Gs, the others were wla, wlc, and of course wl and the most famous wr. The cool thing about the later Gs was that they used a DC linkert, which is the side bowl that the S&S L series was copied after.
They generally have cast iron heads, but installing the aluminum is a snap if you have them.

Custom Chrome ROCKS Biketoberfest 2008– MORGAN HILL, CA ? This year?s Daytona?s Biketoberfest Rally proved once again that Custom Chrome and the J&P Superstore make a perfect combination.
Setting up in front of the J&P Superstore located at Destination Daytona gave the Custom Chrome staff an opportunity to assist customers in and outside the store, answer questions and make recommendations on the right products for the customers needs. Gerry Bruce, Regional Sales & Marketing Manager worked directly with J&P to assist with customer & vendor relations on behalf of Custom Chrome. ?Working to ensure our vendors & manufacturers had face time with the J&P Sales Staff was important? said Bruce.
Bruce was instrumental in connecting J&P staff and several Custom Chrome vendors on hand for the event. ?The more knowledge a sales staff has on the products we carry, the better they can serve the consumer and it certainly energized the staff for the upcoming sales day.”

Diminished crowds at this years event didn?t dampen enthusiasm over exciting new products on display at the event, including the overwhelming positive response to the RevTech Wheel, Pulley and Rotor

SHOP SUNDAY ENDING–She’s the hottest babe to crawl across my desk this week. Not bad, huh? The SEMA show is happening in Las Vegas this week and we’ll be there and staying at Primm on the outskirts. That way I’m on the outside the Hubbub of traffic congestion and madness in town. Primm is the Bikernet official stop-over for Sturgis and Bonneville, any run through Nevada.

Johnny Humble is mounting a cop solo to his Softail. “Best thing I ever did to that bike,” Humble said during a Tae Kwon Do workout. But he was having a problem with the rear mounting. See the feature on the home page about Softails.

So I took a couple of shots of my ’48 Panhead and how I mounted the seat to push it back and down. Crappy welds but it works.

Started to work on the 5-Ball Factory Racer yesterday, just mocking it up until the Black Bike Wheels are finished. Installed the JIMS 5-Speed, which I hope to jazz up with a Baker shift drum and kicker system.

I also hauled the CrazyHorse 100-inch engine out of the crate. The more I work with this engine the more I like it. I should launch my first tech on this build in the next week. We also might write a piece on our burnt Panhead Patio Table.

So next week we’ll spotlight the 5-Ball Factory Racer tech, the Patio table, a report on Hurricane Ike from the streets of Galveston from Rigid Frame Richard. We have a Vintage road race report from Charley Young, I’m working on Kara’s (the Smoke-Out Redhead announcer, my favorite) feature for Cycle Source and we’re scrambling on a couple of highly secret endeavors. I swear we’re trying to keep up. Let’s Ride.
Ride Forever,
