Hey, This is a Sunday Post, like they should be. There’s lots of stuff in here that you won’t find in mags or on other sites. Some of it’s sorta personal, like only Bikernet related news. Then there’s? Well, what the fuck let’s hit it. I’ll fill in the blanks at the end.

THE MYSTERY RACE ANYWHERE REPORT– He?s a competitor of mine?Charley Perinthian?posted this:
I was there with BUB and S&S in 1985, salt was very wet…real mess. Anyway, we heard about this dry lake bed about 30 miles away but over some difficult jeep roads, mountain passes etc. so we took off…the guy from Harley had a rented Pontiac which we had to leave out there as he hit a big rock and holed the oil pan…my 1980 Accord was doing fine until it started to snow but a couple of the S&S guys hopped on the hood and we made it up the hills no problem….
When we finally got there we were blown away by how hard the dry lake bed was..it was brown dirt not white salt but you could chirp tires on it. Unfortunately there was no way to get the 20-ft-long streamliner there.
Charley used to work for Vetter. Here’s a pic from back in the day.

ABATE OF NEW YORK TO PICKET SAFETY CONFERENCE ABATE– of New York announced their intention to picket the NY Highway Safety Conference, October 21st, in Syracuse, where the New York State Police are presenting their Motorcycle Safety Roadblock Scenario to more than 350 professionals from local, state, federal and private agencies ?involved in the effort to reduce deaths and injuries related to traffic crashes.?
ABATE of New York has obtained an all-day public assembly permit to conduct an informational picket/protest outside of the Conference Center to express their dissatisfaction with motorcycle-only roadblocks, as well as draw public attention to the irony of New York State’s misdirection of designated motorcycle safety funds to those very same enforcement tactics being promoted at the conference.
With support from ABATE of NY and in cooperation with the National Coalition of Motorcyclists (NCOM), A.I.M. Attorney (Aid to Injured Motorcyclists) Mitchell Proner recently put the NY State Police and DMV on notice that a class action suit will be filed in protest of the discriminatory road checks being conducted on state highways during events that draw thousands of motorcyclists.
?Since motorcycles operated in New York are already required to pass annual safety inspections, the current NYSP initiative serves only to harass, intimidate and inconvenience motorcyclists, and is an abuse of discretionary power as specifically acknowledged by the New York State Court of Appeals,? said ABATE in a statement.

HOW TO MEET FEDERAL AND CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS REGULATIONS FOR AFTERMARKET PARTS– An increasing number of specialty-equipment companies are facing the growing complexity of complying with emissions-related parts requirements, particularly when governed by federal and California environmental regulations. Questions often arise about the compliance process, how to handle “cease-and-desist” letters and how to avoid penalties and fines when selling emissions-related products in all 50 states.
SEMA will assemble government officials from the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board for a SEMA Show seminar to help create user-friendly solutions to these concerns. Panelists will address a wide range of emissions-compliance questions following an update on the current state of regulatory actions and directions.
Moderated by SEMA technical consultant and industry veteran Jim McFarland, virtually any manufacturer/supplier of emissions-related parts or systems will benefit from this informative seminar.

Paging Gridskipper: Fellatio Monument in South Korea– Jeju Island, a.k.a the next Hainan, is a subtropical island in South Korea. Also known as the honeymooner’s island, it’s got a lot to build a romantic atmosphere: balmy weather, soft sand, a pretty coastline, and more.
There’s also the sex garden.. Jeju Love Land is a “sculpture theme park” that features giant statues of naked ladies, naked gents, and all sorts of sexytime fun. Much like the potato chip, a portrait of oneself next to Love Land’s fellatio monument is a blogger’s best dream come true.
There’s a gift shop on the premises that sells all the accessories you’d expect.. A tourist trap for sure, but probably worth the $7.50 admission if you have a blog or a Flickr account.

Tough Love vs. Spanking – Good Argument — Most people think it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of ‘those moments.’ One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.
Some say it’s the vibration from the car, others say it’s the time away from any distractions such as TV, Video Games, Computer, IPod, etc.
Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Eye to eye contact helps a lot too.
I’ve included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique. Sincerely, Your Friend |

Arizona Administrative Register- NOISE– Notice announces the intention of the Department of Transportation to amend regulations under R17-4-510 regarding motorcycles. The proposal would incorporate 40 CFR 205.166 and allow local jurisdictions to create more stringent motorcycle noise level limit standards. Comments are requested, but a due date is not specified. THE CODE OF THE WOMAN, DISCOVERED IN BIKERNET TRUNK– ‘Whatever you give a woman, she’s going to multiply. If you give her a house, she’ll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she’ll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she’ll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.
So – if you give her any crap, you will receive a ton of shit.

TECH OF TECHS ON BIKERNET–If you haven’t read this tech, you need to. It’s was brought to you by Mike Torres and his wife regarding Russell Pederson’s electric starter for kick-only bikes.

THE BIKERNET BONNEVILLE SCHOOL OF RACING– It looks like you got quite some contacts and experience with racing and Bonneville… I’m planning to go out there next year with a couple buddies and race for a record. Of course being me it’ll be on some weird low cc bike. I was just wondering if you have any tips and resources for that project, like records, rules and regulations, requirements, etc.
If we can get this done I will keep you posted with updates and if I ever get any more bikernet stickers I’ll slap one on that thing too…
Cheers,

MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM DISCOVERED– The first pics, aren?t from the museum, the Red shovel was Georges, my bro who died, it was his club bike, It was his rider before he got cancer. It is a sad story, so no one could buy this sled, myself and Dago, are buying the bike and donating it to the Vintage Spokes Museum.

The remainder of the pics are from the museum. I think you can find some for the Sunday Post, the cat with the bikes is Jeff Finn, as you can see it is a class act. We are very lucky that he would consider putting a clubber’s sled in the museum. I couldn’t bear the fact George’s bike being in some cocksucker’s hands. The vultures come out when a bro dies. Jeff Finn is the owner founder of the museum.

Oh yea Jeff Finn is just a regular guy who had a dream, and told me years ago that the museum would keep anyone from trying to fuck his daughter out of his bikes. I thought it was aprapo (sp) George’s sled be there.
