Well, we made it the Winter Park Colorado VA run. Set-up was Thursday and the weather was not in our favor. Winter Park is called Winter Park for a reason and Friday was no exception. Ted Nugent and others were to play outside at Hogfest on Saturday, but snow started falling. Bikes were still coming

Well all was looking good, we were packed and loaded to head to Sturgis Thursday morning, July 31st. All was going good, then 40 minutes into our trip..bam we drive right into the path of a tornado and before we can react, the 100-mile-an-hour straight line winds picked us up spun us around and flipped

Editor's note: Hollister 2008 was reported by Down Under Bikernet correspondent Doc Robinson who travelled half way around the world to attend the 61st Anniversary of the infamous first Hollister weekend. His features are also due to be published in Heavy Duty magazine, the largest H-D mag in Australia. “What are you rebelling against, Johnny?”“What

Well another El Diablo Run is in the history pages, making it three times now for this Run. The first I heard of the El Diablo Run was in the winter of ‘07 when a couple of guys I was chatting with out at Cook's Corner, in SoCal, were discussing their plans for the Run.

The Smoke Out 9 Rally provided two days of outstanding weather and none stop action. The main attraction, of course, was the 2-wheel artists blasting their latest designs down the Farmington Raceway. Everything from techno-chops to resurrected cruisers from the ‘80s made it out to the 2008 edition of the Smoke Out. Low and loud,

Cycle Source magazine and the Limpnickie Lot crew put on the first annual The Big Mountain Run at Hiwassee Outfitters in Reliance, Tennessee, June 18th to the 20th. Some of those attending met with Chris Callen, the editor and supreme emperor of Cycle Source and rode to Tilley Harley-Davidson in North Carolina where the Gypsy

On the weekend of March 7th, 2009, I loaded up my trusty 1993 1200 XL and left for an adventure into the great state of Virginia. I had seen an advertisement on the pages of Bikernet.com on an upcoming event to be held in Fishersville, VA. Those of you who really know me…know I have

More than 200 people lost their lives in the terrible bushfires which swept parts of the Australian state of Victoria during February, entire towns were lost and thousands of homes destroyed. The sinister aspect is that at least some of the fires were deliberately lit, a circumstance that lead the country’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd

Sacramento, CA~Jan. 17-18~ The folks from Easyriders brought their 3-ring biker circus into the California capital over the weekend and proceeded to pack the downtown Sacramento Convention Center to the rafters with happy riders. The amazing spring-like weather was no small part of what drew folks out of their humble abodes. But once at the

Photo from “World's Fastest Indian” movie about Burt's racing history. Here's a good one from Australia. Our Ms Bikernet of the 2009 is, Nicole Brosing, a tattoo artist, who rides and just opened her first Tattoo Shop. We held off reporting on Las Vegas Bike fest because of the code. You know, “What happens in Vegas, stays there.” So how the hell do you report on the biggest bike event in Vegas and leave sleeping dogs lie? Or do dogs lie? Fuck, who takes a dog to Vegas… It all started out

Heading into the Jennings race, I had an 11 point lead on Charly P (CP). We gridded up for the V1 / 350GP race…..I got off to my usual poor start. Steve-O on the 911 V1 bike was a rocket….gone….next was Royce Eaton, who at 73, appeared to be recovered from his recent high-speed crash

Believe it or not the 37th running of the annual Griffith Park Sidecar rally was busted up by the cops, specifically the Park Rangers who apparently went into Homeland Security Mode when a record-breaking crowd of several thousand bike fans showed up for the event. Huell Howser's PBS KCET TV’s popular “California Gold” show spotlighted

I hate writing this story. Not because of anything West Virginia did, but because of what West Virginia is. You see West Virginia is unspoiled. She’s friendly; the natural beauty of both her citizens and the lands that lie within her borders hasn’t been spoiled by hoards of travelers scrambling to, “get there first.” It

Bandit's favorite redhead, Kara. The Smoke Out has a reputation to uphold. The event is like a cup of strong coffee for the motorcycle world, coffee with a shot of Busch Mills Irish Whiskey. It’s not coffee though, the Smoke Out is a large, steaming-hot-cup of chopperness with a healthy shot of crazy stirred in. Yes,

What started as a tribute to a woman in a man’s world has remained an early summer South Florida tradition of the ideals biker women desire most; riding, friends, shopping, and sexy men in tight leather and a run where everyone knows your name. I started Ladies Day Out as a way to get my

The Chopper Chick Crew nailed it…again. The bike project coincided with the House of Harley-Davidson’s Woman’s Day Event during the 105th Anniversary

Hang on for a vast assortment of Mooneyes 2009 Japan show photography from the famous Swedish Sheriff. He doesn't have a lot to say about this classic array of scooters, but I know he had a helluva terrific time during the holiday season in Tokyo. If you have never been to Japan, make the trip

(Note: This story was written 3 weeks ago after SEMA week in Vegas.) Does anything normal ever happen in Vegas during SEMA week? Or is it all just endless days and nights of adventure? One twisted escapade blending into the next until you lose all track of time, and you find yourself asking people what

No Love? Well I don’t want to blow Jesse’s bad boy cover, but I felt some love in the air today! Jesse even rides his beautiful better half, Sandra Bullock around on a cushy, red road king to keep her comfy. And you wouldn’t even know that it was Sandra and Jesse under those helmets
