Hey,
This will be an amazing year. It will be a transformative year. It could be a hard fight. But this time next year we will know what the Western-Freedom-Loving world stands for.
You will know what Easyriders Magazine and the whole company stands for. I said when I took over, Easyriders Magazine will not be afraid.
This will be a year of in your face honesty and a return of integrity. And a hand-cuffed reveal of government corruption.
So where do us grubby bikers fit it. What can Easyriders Magazine do to help make sure our country remains free? We will support our motorcycle rights community in anyway we can.
We will do all we can to build and support the freedom to build anything you want.
We will do whatever it takes to promote Choppers, bobbers, and almost any motorcycle to a younger audience. We will ask brothers all over the country to introduce kids to motorcycles.
But we are going to ask freedom fighters everywhere to spill the beans on corruption and the attack on our way of life. If we don’t step up and fight back, you may need to read my book Sam “Chopper” Orwell.
Let’s hit the news:
The News was provided by the Bikernet Team including: Wayfarer, the Redhead, Bob T. Sam Burns, Agent Zebra, Rogue, Laura, Barry Green, El Waggs, J.J. Solari, Amy White, Jenn and the rest of the crew.
The Bikernet Weekly News is sponsored in part by companies who also dig Freedom including: Easyriders Magazine, Cycle Source Magazine, the MRF, Iron Trader News, ChopperTown, BorntoRide.com and the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum.

QUICK, A WORD FROM THE DAV–
S. 3138, the Veterans Supporting Prosthetics Opportunities and Recreational Therapy (SPORT) Act, would expand VA medical services to explicitly include adaptive prostheses and terminal devices—such as customized limbs for running, swimming, golfing, skiing, cycling and similar activities—within the VA medical services package for service-disabled veterans.
By broadening the scope of covered prosthetic devices, this legislation will help ensure that eligible veterans can access specialized support items, empowering them to engage in sports and recreation that are vital for their physical rehabilitation, fitness, independence and mental health.
DAV supports the Veterans SPORT Act because it aligns with our Resolution No. 97, which calls for dedicated funding and equal access to comprehensive, timely prosthetic care. Every veteran deserves the tools they need to live fully and pursue the activities that strengthen their bodies and minds.
Please contact your senators and urge them to cosponsor and support the Veterans SPORT Act. As always, we appreciate your support for DAV’s legislative priorities and thank you for participating in the Commander’s Action Network—DAV CAN.

LOWBROW ACTION—
Looking for a unique front end for your Big Twin or Sportster chopper?
39mm Narrow Glide forks (also known as Showa forks, which is the Japanese manufacturer) are found on 1987 & later Sportsters, FXRs and certain year / model Dynas.
Narrow Glide front ends are known for being good performing and heavily-customizable.
Their simple but robust construction paired with a large variety of aftermarket, custom parts makes it easy to build a fork in many different configurations.
Lowbrow’s 39mm Tapered Fork Lowers are super easy to install, affordable, and instantly change the look of any narrow glide front end.

NEW YEARS CALL FROM THE MOTORCYCLE RIDERS FOUNDATION–
As many people set resolutions and goals at the beginning of a new year, I encourage each of you to renew your commitment to the position you hold with the MRF and your local organizations. Many times, we get caught up in preparation trying to make everything perfect, but I’ve learned nothing is truly perfect. While it is good that we strive for perfection, we must learn to move ahead imperfectly, or we will not move ahead at all.
It is one thing to have a position and a title; it is another to fully commit and engage with everyone on this board to move the entire organization forward. We have job descriptions and strategic plans in place, and it is up to each one of us to execute these plans, or find a suitable replacement for ourselves.
May God bless you and keep you and your family safe this year.
Ride with the leaders,
J. Ryan Hubbard

BAD NEW YEARS DAY JOKE—
A Basket Ball star walks into Cadillac dealership in Texas and is eyeing a flashy new Cadillac. The young salesman approaches and says, “Sir, are you thinking about buying a Cadillac today.”
The tall basketball star stands up straight and says, “I’m thinking about pussy, but I need to buy a car.”

HAPPY NEW YEARS RIDE WITH OUT TEXAS WEATHERMAN–
NYD traditional early morning ride completed, but didn’t go as far as I planned.
Bike wasn’t happy, my girls even had me circle back right as I left before sunrise. Thought it was because I let a tee shirt/rag blow off the bike, it’s not a conversation.
Not a rag, no some idiot didn’t put the air filter he cleaned last night back on, kind of difficult to miss too! No pre-ride coffee, bike was getting so much cold air, it didn’t know what to do with it all.
Glad I listened to them at the turn off to the longer ride and came back.

A RANT FROM HOT CARS–
There’s a lot that needs fixing, and Ford Motor Company CEO Jim Farley fully agrees with that, noting recently that the motorcycle legend needs to change. But before getting to his statement, allow us to point out that Farley is no stranger to Harley-Davidson, having served on the company’s board of directors since 2021.
Those are pretty strong words, but one cannot deny that Farley wants Harley to be successful. Besides sitting on the company’s board of directors, which means his job is to look after its wellbeing, Farley is also a big Harley fan. According to Ford Authority, he owns two classic Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a 1939 EL Knucklehead and a 1942 WLA Navy bike that he restored himself.
Let’s not forget that Ford Motor Company and Harley-Davidson have a long-running collaboration, working together on iconic Harley-themed pickup trucks based on the F-150 and Super Duty since 2000.

WE MET THE MONK AT THE BASE OF THE MOUNTAIN–
He spoke softly to us about New Beginnings.
January 1, 2026
With each new day comes a new beginning, if we choose. Let go of yesterday. Do not worry about tomorrow.
Live now.
“New arts, new sciences, new philosophies, better government, and a higher civilization wait on our thought. The infinite energy of life, and the possibility of our future evolution, work through our imagination and will. The time is ready, the place is where we are now, and it is done to all as they really believe and act.”
— Ernest Holmes
Here we are—January 1, 2026. The excitement of the holidays is already softening into memory, and once again we are reminded of how quickly time seems to move. As I look back on 2025, I see how much life was lived: moments of joy and celebration, lessons learned, challenges faced, losses experienced, and changes unfolding in the world around us.
In this reflection, I am gently reminded of how sacred today truly is. This moment is all we are ever given. Today is not something to rush through or take for granted. Today is where life is happening. Today is where love is expressed, healing begins, courage rises, and new choices are made.
Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” Within those words is a profound invitation—to live fully now, without postponing our joy or our purpose. We do not know what tomorrow may bring, but we do know that today is a gift. Every second matters. Every breath is precious. For every minute we waste, we lose sixty seconds of living.
So today, let us consciously step into this new beginning. Let us make the most of this moment. Life is working for you, not against you. Today is good. Today is very good.
Today’s Affirmation
I trust that the answer already exists, and I release the problem, opening myself to receive divine insight. I am listening with faith and expectancy, knowing the answer is revealed to me now. I am open to new ideas, new hopes, and new aspirations. What once appeared as a problem dissolves in the presence of Truth. The Mind of God flows freely through my thoughts and feelings, and great peace and joy fill my being as I accept the good that is already mine.
Today, I consciously call upon my Higher Power for all that I need to live fully and freely. I close my eyes and turn inward, entering that sacred place of peace and love—my space—where I know all is well. In this inner sanctuary, my entire being is renewed, invigorated, and made alive. Every breath I breathe is a breath of renewal, perfection, and life itself.
The Life of Spirit is my life.
Its power is my power.
Its strength is my strength.
Today, I open myself to the infinite possibilities unfolding in right and perfect form. My good is revealing itself now. The time is now. I am grateful for this moment and for the freedom to choose to live life fully.
And so it is.
Namaste
“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
— Anne Frank
Contemplative Questions
• What am I choosing to release today so I can fully embrace this new beginning?
• How would I live this day if I truly believed it was sacred and precious?
• What new possibility is quietly asking for my attention?

WHAT’S NEXT–
I find our situation odd. We are living in the absolute best of times. The best cars, bikes, stuff. I could go on for a week. But some folks want to make it the absolute worst.

But check this. The folks who are enjoying the best of time are folks who build bikes, cars, homes, or businesses.
The folks who want to hate are not doing shit to benefit themselves or anything. And in many cases they are paid to hate and tear down. It’s nuts, but let’s do something about it this year.

We held a New Years Happy Hour at the Emporium last night. It was a blast and our first shot a party.

We had a ton of chow, from sandwiches to the Redhead’s magnificent soup and of course Whiskey.

We sold David Mann Art books and Danial James art.

Brad from Sturgis leathers made us this vintage canvas sign. It worked to hide shelves fulla tools and fasteners.
Let’s be vocal, proud Americans this year. It will make a difference.
And of course, ride free forever!
