Hey,

I’m going to make this a quick intro,
‘cause the year is already flying. I wish I had time to document every little goddamn thing I do this year. Hell, I think it would make a helluva book.

Speaking of books, I have mentioned this one, but it’s worth mentioning again. Actually Marilyn Stemp turned me onto The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. This book is a motivational giant. Read it, and you’ll want to share it with young and old.

New Bikernet 5-Ball racing patch coming.

14 GOVERNORS: Prepare State Militia Defenses, To Be Ready Against Obama’s Rogue Federal Forces--

by: Thomas Jefferson

By Editor | Conspiracy,

Obama fearing a revolution against him by the states, has moved swiftly by nationalizing nearly all National Guard Forces in multiple states; Georgia, Alabama, Kansas, Minnesota, Tennessee, Virginia, Louisiana, South Carolina – to name a few.

The Governors of the Great States of Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia still have under their Command-and-Control the State Defense Forces to go against U.S. Federal forces should the need arise. Also important to note: There are NO U.S. laws prohibiting National Guard troops from also joining their State’s Defense Forces. This dilemma occurred during the Civil War with many “citizen soldiers” choosing to serve their states instead of the Federal Government.

Obama is angered by the several State Governors who have reestablished “State Defense Forces.” These forces are described as: “State Defense Forces (also known as State Guards, State Military Reserves, State Militias) in the United States are military units that operate under the sole authority of a state government; they are not regulated by the National Guard Bureau nor are they part of the ArmyNational Guard of the United States.

State Defense Forces are authorized by state and federal law and are under the command of the governor of each state. State Defense Forces are distinct from their state’s National Guard in that they cannot become federal entities.
Motorcycle Riders should be ready to defend themselves and property as well!!!

MAVTV LIVE RACING EVENTS SIGNS NEW HOST-- CORONA, Calif. (Jan. 2, 2014)-Renowned motor racing broadcaster Dave Despain has signed a two-year contract with MAVTV American Real to host the network's five live events, beginning with the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire on Jan. 18, and a series of 30-minute, one-on-one programs interviewing drivers and other personalities from across the diverse American racing landscape.

The 67-year old Despain was attracted to joining the burgeoning independent network owned by Forrest Lucas by the opportunity to return to working at the race track and hosting the "Dave Despain Show."

"I'm really excited to get back to the grass roots of racing," Despain said. "And I'm also excited about being able to do a series of long-form interviews, the majority of which will feature the legends of grass roots racing. We'll try to mix it up and have an interesting variety of personalities from all over the racing world.

"I've watched Forrest Lucas and Lucas Oil emerging as a power in the racing world over a long span of time and was very interested in how they've used racing to promote their products. It was obvious to me it was part marketing genius and part passion. When I interviewed Forrest on 'Wind Tunnel,' he verbalized a world I'm very interested in, a passion for racing which I share. As far as MAVTV, just because it's TV and I'm in the TV business, I was following what they were doing."

"When Lucas bought MAVTV, I thought maybe it would be a good place to be somewhere down the road," Despain said. "Did I want to retire or do another deal that was interesting, fun and exciting? MAVTV offered me an opportunity to kind of get back to where I started.

"People assume that if you're in the racing scene, you're at the track all the time. In reality, doing a Sunday night studio race show, you're not ever at the racetrack. I missed that. There's nothing like being face-to-face with a person. I like hosting a lot. It plays into what I consider my strength, being able to place an event in a larger picture context. There are stories I'm anxious to tell."

MAVTV American Real President Bob Patison, also the Executive Vice President of Lucas Oil, found the perfect fit for the network's racing expansion. "We brought in an icon," Patison said. "Dave is probably the best known face and voice in motor racing on television."

The Chili Bowl is an indoor event for midget race cars with about 275 entries in Tulsa, Okla. The network will also broadcast live the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series' East Bay Late Model Nationals from Tampa, Fla., on Feb. 15, the Show Me 100 (Late Models) from Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., on May 24, the Late Model Nationals from Knoxville, Iowa, on Sept. 27,the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup (Short Course Off Road) from Lake Elsinore, Calif., on Oct. 18 and many more live events.

Despain has been broadcasting motor racing for 40 years. He's worked for ABC, CBS, ESPN and SPEED.

HAPPY NEW BEGINNINGS FROM THE OFFICIAL BIKERNET PHILOSOPHER--

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow. --Helen Keller

WOW another year has come to an end. It is amazing how the older we get the faster time passes. I guess it is all relative, when we are two, a year is half of our Life, at sixty a year is one sixtieth of our Life so logically time passes much quicker the older we get.

As I have said many times we must make every second count, for we don’t know how many we have left. One of the To Do’s on my list is to Live every minute to the fullest, to not waste a second on negativity, hate, resentments, fear, guilt, doubt or anything that does not serve my Highest Good or the Best for others.

I am making the choice to Love Life and Look for the Good in everyone and everything. As we begin this New Year open up to the Divine Flow of Love and Good in your world, you deserve it, make 2014 be a year of Living your Truth, to Live Life at a New and Higher level of Expression.

Today I am fully Present.

UNCLE MONKEY ON SHOP TOOLS--

As I squirrel away the last of my tools and parts into my garage I'm starting to tinker away at a few small projects. Nothing major but just something to fill a few moments as I figure out the perfect spot for the few remaining items still on the floor.

The pressure is on to keep the space clean. A fresh new shop inspires us to keep it clean. When before I was happy to let those metal spirals we cut out of a piece of metal to fall to the ground and roll to the dark recesses under the bench to never be thought of again. Now, I have my trusty shop vac out getting the last little piece cleaned up.

Perhaps it is because the space is nice and toasty warm, I'm not longing to get in out of the cold and warm myself with a tumbler of Jack & Coke.

A new shop and a new outlook for a new year.

ROGER MCGRATH’S MATCH/NORTON MAKING HISTORY ON BIKERNET--
Even back in the early 1970s, it was easy to see Roger McGrath was going places…fast!

Obviously that first Matchless left a permanent impression. Fast forward to late May 2013 and we find Roger wrenching side by side with longtime buddy Sonny Nutter at L.A.’s Garage Company. Roger had dropped by the vintage bike emporium to do some fine tuning on his beautifully restored 1968 Matchless 750cc G15-CS Scrambler.

BIKERNET BAD JOKE LIBRAY BRINGS YOU SAD, SAD NEWS
FYI -
There will be no Nativity Scene in Washington this year! The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a Nativity Scene in The capital this Christmas season.

This isn't for any religious reason, they simply have not been able to find Three Wise Men in the Nation's capital, nor could they find a virgin.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Freakin’ cold, 12 degrees. here with 3-feet of snow! Sucks!
Hey I used a Unbrako screw chart for years,
when I was designing tooling. That's how I know the Company name.

Have a good one. Get ready for the cold buddy, it's been brutal this year!
