Hey,
I’ve encountered quirky, challenging, mis-aligned deals over the last month. There’s a side of life that most folks avoid, the daunting trials, stepping off the ledge or entering the race.
Then there are others who try and don’t ever give up.
We live in strange times. And actually we are praying for someone who believes in freedom, honesty and integrity and won’t give up or give in. And there’s the adage: Life goes on. It does but we can’t stop or give in because of bad leadership. The struggle remains whether we like it or not.
At the end of the day you need to ask yourself, what’s the right path? What are the right and true thoughts and intentions? I like this last one: What are the right actions and outcomes? Without a doubt, if you ask yourself these questions you’ll find the correct path.
Let’s hit the news and then face whatever life throws at us.

STURGIS MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM NEWS—Every week more opportunities unveil themselves to the museum staff and board.
More industry leaders are stepping up to help plus hardworking members of the Hamsters.
It’s June, and more riders and visitors from all over the world are rolling into Sturgis and visiting the museum than ever before.
Chairman Fozz of the curation committee asked me to supply my 1926 H-D Bonneville Racing Peashooter to the museum, which of course I did.
Here’s my description: Here’s Plaque info for the 1926 Peashooter for Bonneville Bike.
Keith R. Ball built this overhead valve Peashooter around 2010 using a B model lower end and C model engine with a 1-inch stroker plate for a 467cc Peashooter. Mated to a mid ‘50s BSA 4-speed transmission and positioned in a modified Peashooter frame for the tall cylinder it traveled to the Bonneville Salt flats where the 14 to 1 compression destroyed the head gasket. The miniature Ceriani front end never endured a harrowing pass on the Bonneville Salt Flats. The small female tattoo artist, Nicole, who flew in from Australia worked hand in hand with a family of mechanics from Hawaii to salvage the event to no avail. Next time…
Law Tigers stepped up to help with the sign to catch the attention of folks from all corners of the main intersection in Sturgis. Just step across the street and into the Museum.
We are closer to sealing the deal on the first sidecar bike, Vincent powered driveline to run on the salt. Built by Mike Parti R.I.P. he also piloted it.

100-WORD FICTION SUBMISSION OF THE WEEK--Clear
After terrible stress-filled weeks jumped on the bike to clear my head. Took back roads avoiding traffic. Lost in thought, I hit roads I’d never been on before.
Eventually stopping to wet my whistle and take in new surroundings. Heading back only a few miles from home, I approached a sprawling intersection. A rather large dump truck came out of nowhere crossing my path. Mind raced. Hit the brakes? I’ll go down. Searched for opening and options. There’s always a way. Twisted the throttle and skirted around the truck but not by much.
Even using the chop to clear my head. ya gotta pay attention.

40th Annual, MEETING OF THE MINDS--September 26 - 29, 2024
ENHANCING YOUR SKILLS TO KEEP THE NIGHTMARES AT BAY
In the real world, few people wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat thinking about the future of motorcycling. The future of motorcycling is under attack today and a few of us do wake up in the middle of the night with the future of motorcycling on our minds.
In the early days of motorcyclists’ rights activism – fifty years ago for some – mandatory helmet laws at the federal (and later the state) level did not keep us awake or stop us from riding. It was always a matter of choice and there were no attempts (then) to restrict us from riding or to kill motorcycling and related businesses.
Then came federal legislation to outlaw sports bikes, along with insurance company “blacklists” of the “super bike” genre, and the nightmares of over-regulation began. The MRF moved rapidly to turn back the federal legislation and the super bike blacklists, and we slept easy – for a while.
Motorcycling is under attack. The attacks are more subtle than late-night bans of motorcycles riding through neighborhood parks, more subtle than profiling motorcyclists on the side of the road, and more subtle than a deliberate omission from the Road to Zero Coalition.
But not as subtle as “end of life directives,” not as subtle as trying to run a successful aftermarket business without the “right to repair,” not as subtle as legislation to eliminate the internal combustion engine, and not as subtle as driverless or autonomous vehicles killing motorcyclists.
Now, every motorcycle owner should be losing sleep or waking up in a cold sweat wondering just how long we will be able to ride if we do nothing to stop the legislation and regulation that exacerbate our nightmares. How long will we be able to ride if the calls to action go unanswered? How long will we be able to ride if the lessons and tools made available at the Meeting of the Minds conferences go unused?
The Motorcycle Riders Foundation is working on the lesson plans and will bring the tools needed to enhance motorcyclists’ rights advocacy to the 40th Annual Meeting of the Minds in September 2024!
A Meeting of the Minds general session panel discussion –-- with industry leaders and influencers-- will certainly keep you awake during the presentation. The panel, aptly titled “What about the future of motorcycling that keeps you awake at night,” may even keep you awake in the middle of the night as it does us. However, the panel will give you something to consider, more tools to turn back the attack against motorcycling, and, with action, help stop the nightmares.
The nightmares are real, motorcycling is under attack. Your attendance at the Meeting of the Minds may not end the nightmares. However, your attendance and taking the lessons home to your riding partners will help keep the nightmares at bay.
Take action now to attend the 40th Annual Meeting of the Minds conference, September 26-29, rest easier and make your reservations now!

SAD NEWS FROM SUDCO
Since 1968 when three partners combined their initials to create the name, Sudco International had been the dealers’ source for go-fast goodies and replacement components for CB750s, Z1s, H1s, H2s and a whole lot more. Before the Internet, Sudco was in every parts manager’s rolodex, so it is ironic that the news of Sudco shutting down came via social media.

EIGHT WAYS-- the Biden administration is working to increase gasoline prices
The Biden administration's draining of the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve is another cynical ploy to disguise that its real goal is to raise gas prices.
The Biden administration claims that draining the Northeast Gasoline Supply Reserve shows its commitment to low gas prices.
In fact, this is yet another cynical ploy to disguise that its real goal is raise gas prices.
But in fact, he’s doing his utmost to raise prices, because this is necessary for his anti-fossil-fuel goals.
Given his “net zero” agenda, Biden’s claim to be for low gasoline prices is a vote-grabbing exercise.
Biden wants the high gas prices that “net zero” requires—but if voters knew this they would rebel. Therefore Biden claims to be for both “net zero” and low gas prices.
Here are 8 actions the Biden administration has taken to increase gasoline prices.
Biden Gas Gouging Policy #1
Biden has worked to increase gasoline prices by taking a “whole-of-government” approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This entails reducing oil investment, production, refining and transport, all of which serves to increase gas prices.
Biden Gas Gouging Policy #2
Biden has worked to increase gasoline prices by expanding the anti-fossil-fuel ESG divestment movement. ESG contributed to a 50% decline in oil and gas exploration investments from 2011-2021, resulting in higher prices. Biden is making it worse.
The ESG movement is anti-energy, anti-development, and anti-America
Biden Gas Gouging Policy #3
Biden has worked to increase gasoline prices via “climate disclosure rules,” an oil and gas investment-slashing measure that coerces companies into spouting anti-fossil-fuel propaganda and committing to anti-fossil-fuel plans—plans that will raise gas prices.
These are popping up in car parts shops all over the country.
Biden Gas Gouging Policy #4
Biden has worked to increase gasoline prices by issuing a moratorium on oil and gas leases on federal lands, stunting oil and gas production and investment. When it’s harder to produce and invest in oil, gasoline gets more expensive.
Biden Gas Gouging Policy #5
Biden has worked to increase gasoline prices by hiking the royalty rate for new oil leases by 50%. This is money the government gets from the industry on top of taxes. And it discourages oil investments, meaning less production meaning higher gas prices.
Biden Gas Gouging Policy #6
Biden has worked to increase gasoline prices by restricting oil and gas leasing on nearly 50% of Alaska's vast petroleum reserve. This is a crippling blow to Alaska's oil and gas industry. Less Alaskan oil means higher gas prices.4
Biden Gas Gouging Policy #7
Biden has worked to increase gasoline prices by threatening to stop oil and gas mergers. Mergers, which increase efficiency, benefit domestic production and lower prices. Blocking mergers raises oil prices long-term, which means higher gas prices.
Biden Gas Gouging Policy #8
Biden has worked to increase gasoline prices by cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline. This prevented Canada from using its vast oil deposits to their full potential—meaning lower global supply and higher prices for oil and gasoline.
When Biden takes action after action to make sure gasoline prices increase for the sake of “net zero” and then loudly claims to be for low prices, he is lying. But the mainstream media won’t expose him because it too wants to be “net zero” but not seen to be for high gas prices.
Politicians who are against oil and gas production, investment, and transport are necessarily for high gasoline prices—and they know it.
E.g., when I debated Robert Kennedy Jr. in 2019, he admitted that under his energy plans “the gasoline price at the pump would go up to $12.50”!
Joe Biden should level with the American people and make clear that his agenda is to increase gasoline prices—much like Obama's infamous admission that “electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket” under his energy plan.
Better yet, Biden should apologize and embrace energy freedom.5

MORE ON GAS PRICES--
Over the weekend, I filled up my car's fuel tank, and I thought fuel has become really expensive after the recent price hike.
But then I compared it with other common liquids and did some quick calculations and felt a little better.
To know why, see the results below – you'll be surprised at how outrageous some other prices are !
Diesel (regular) Rs.58 per litre
Petrol Rs.67 per litre
Coca Cola 330 ml can : Rs.27 = Rs.81 per litre
Dettol antiseptic 100 ml Rs.20 = Rs.200 per litre
Radiator coolant 500 ml Rs.160 = Rs.320 per litre
Pantene conditioner 400 ml Rs.165 = Rs.413 per litre
Medicinal mouthwash like Listerine 100 ml Rs.45 = Rs. 450 per litre
Red Bull 150 ml can : Rs.75 = Rs.500 per litre
Corex cough syrup 100 ml Rs.57 = Rs. 570 per litre
Evian water 500 ml Rs. 330 = Rs. 660 per litre
Rs. 500 for a litre of WATER???!!! And the buyers don't even know the source (Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)
Kores whiteout 15 ml Rs. 15 = Rs. 1000 per litre
Cup of coffee at any decent business hotel 150 ml Rs. 175 = Rs. 1167 per litre
Old Spice after shave lotion 100 ml Rs. 175 = Rs. 1750 per litre
Pure almond oil 25 ml Rs. 68 = Rs. 2720 per litre
And this is the REAL KICKER...
HP deskjet colour ink cartridge 21 ml Rs.1900 = Rs. 90476 per litre!!!
Now you know why computer printers are so cheap ? So they have you hooked for the ink !
So, the next time you're at the pump, don't curse – just be glad your car doesn't run on cough syrup, after shave, coffee, or God forbid, printer ink!
--Bikernet Fan from far
"One issue with your hypothesis. I only need an ounce of printers ink every six months, but I need 26 gallons of fuel for my truck each week." --Bandit
