This seems to be a week of innovation and new product testing.

Never give up should be everyone’s mantra in life. Never give up on your health, your relationships, your education and your motorcycle. I’ve been challenged by a particular motorcycle. It’s never run right. I loved building this bike. It was my first experience with big wheels. But it sputtered at about 25-30 mph and I couldn’t figure it out.

With the help of Keith Ruxton, James Simonelli, at Biker’s Choice and Frank Aliano, I’m about to pull the plug the trigger on another test. You should see the results next week. I’ve faced a number of Never Give Up challenges this year and we’re knocking down the obstacles to success one by one. Hang on for more reports.

‘Joy’ – it’s quite a good film but one has to hang with it for about an hour – then it all of a sudden becomes an intriguing story. Has a heck of a cast.

Reminds me of the crushing obstacles and mine-field of un-scrupulous competitors and nasty, outright criminal vendors and contractors I’ve dealt with in small business over the years.

Motorcyclist Uses FIN To Successfully Track and Recover Stolen BMW--
Atlanta, GA - At 8:03AM on April 20, 2016, the Find It Now theft recovery team received notification of a stolen 2014 BMW S1000RR Motorcycle.

Utilizing the FIN GPS security device installed on the motorcycle at purchase, along with state-of-the-art software and tracking tools, the FIN owner was able to immediately track the stolen motorcycle in real-time. Promptly after alerting local police, the owner contacted a FIN theft recovery expert, who immediately worked with authorities to provide street-view maps showing the stolen BMW location.

The BMW was ultimately found to be parked in an abandoned house approximately 100 feet off the road. Responding deputies arrived on scene with the relieved owner to find the motorcycle inside with minor damage.

Established in 2008, Find It Now USA is a Florida-based, Veteran owned and operated company, specializing in motorcycle and power-sports vehicle theft detection and recovery. Visit or call 888-811-3883 for more information.

A Jewish grandmother is giving directions to her grown grandson who is coming to visit with his wife.

"You come to the front door of the apartments. I am in apartment 301. There is a big panel at the front door. With your elbow, push button 301. I will buzz you in. Come inside and elevator buttons are on the right. Get in, and with your elbow, push 3rd Floor. When you get out, I'm on the left. With your elbow, hit my doorbell.

“Okay Grandma, that sounds easy, but, why am I hitting all these buttons with my elbow?

......... "What ... You're coming empty handed?"

It was great seeing you at Kings Hawaiian Restaurant Wednesday, where the staff talks about all the Jalapeno bread you buy. We should have lunch together someday.

A good day would be when you sell my low-mileage Road Glide for $10.000.00.

I met with Bob Bitchin at an Adventurous Society Club lecture last year. Bob was the speaker who spoke on his adventures as a dumb biker who owned and later sold his Biker & Tattoo magazine. His career change was to sail his new yacht around the world.

He spoke of his sailing experiences in the islands of the South Seas, Asian Ocean, Mexican Riviera, Islands of Malaysia, Corsica, Greece, Antigua, et cetera and how you helped him out numerous times. It was great seeing Bitchin who now lives in some Northern California mountain with Jody.

1979 HONDA CX500 restoration BOOK OF THE WEEK--
Ricky Burns' Enthusiast Restoration Manual has been put to very good use!-- We're always delighted to hear from our readers, especially when they've used an Enthusiast's Restoration Manual to carry out a practical project.

A happy customer got in touch to let us-- he'd used How to restore Honda CX500 & CX650 – YOUR step-by-step color illustrated guide to complete restoration by Ricky Burns ...

"I purchased this manual by Ricky Burns and used it to completely renovate my 1979 Honda CX500. I am by no means a mechanic, just an enthusiast and had to strip the bike down to the frame to get welding & powder coating done as it was corroded and rusty. The manual was brilliant with a straightforward easy to understand approach & stacks of good photos, better than the workshop manuals available."

"Ricky's timing in bringing the book out was perfect for me. An excellent piece of work."
Nick Smedley. North Yorkshire, UK.

Have you used one of our repair/restoration manuals, buyer's guides or performance, tuning & modification books? We'd like to hear from you!

JIMS TOOL OF THE WEEK FOR INDIANS-- No. 5802 Fork Compression Sockets.

JIMS is bringing their renowned specialty tools for American motorcycles to the popular Indian brand. JIMS new Fork Compression Sockets are designed to work on the new Indian Scout model.

Socket No. 5802-1 works in conjunction with JIMS Fork Spring Compressor Tool No. 1776 and similar fork spring compressor tools.

This allows for safe fork disassembly, without launching parts around the shop. Socket No. 5802-2 mates with the dampener cartridge, preventing rotation when installing or removing the bottom fork bolt.

Both sockets are necessary when servicing forks on 2015-present Indian Scout models. JIMS improved on the OEM tool, which had some fitment issues.

As an added bonus, these sockets also work on 2017-present Victory Octane models. JIMS No. 5802 Fork Compression Sockets are proudly made in the USA, feature JIMS lifetime tool warranty, and suggested retail price is $113.00. Use on 2015-present Indian Scout and 2017-present Victory Octane models.

I used to be a long distance trucker. About 1973 I decided I did not care to make runs to California.

The more I see and read, the happier I am that I will never have to go there again.

A state that will allow an American girl too be gunned down in front of her father is beyond belief and then to do every thing possible to disarm men & women, to feel it's okay too take away the rights and freedoms. I shout, "I served to protect."

I don't want any part of a place like California!

Editor Response Thanks.
Once upon a time we were asked for suggestions. I suggested that it might be good for your readers to have Page selection at the beginning and end of each page to improve navigating the post.

It was also suggested that when "returning" from a page or link that we might return to the place we left off. While this was not well received at the time, the first suggestion is now used.

This is not for a feather in my bonnet, but a genuine thought on improving things for your readers, yourselves, your sponsors and advertisers.

Things are continually improving on your site and I wish you and all of us continued success.
