Like many people, I gave some serious thought to not attending Sturgis this year. The pandemic was a serious concern, with all the noise about it being spread when large groups get together.
Well, when I found out that my sister by another mother Vicki Sanfelipo was getting inducted, that changed everything.
The 20th Annual Induction Breakfast was held on August 12, 2020 at The Lodge At Deadwood. Seating was limited to about 500 and sold out. You needed to be wearing face covering to enter and safety precautions were in place as best it could be for a function of this type.
The following is from the official publication for the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
The induction statement on Vickie
“Vickie has a long list of accomplishments as a motorcyclist. She appears in four books written about motorcycling and has supported Women and Motorcycling as a presenter at conferences and rallies for over 30 years.
In 1994, she became a founding partner in the Central Wisconsin Motorcycle Show that went on to host an Easyriders Rodeo.
In 1996, she became the first female Road Guard for Wisconsin Governor Thompsons Harley Tours.
In 2000, she co-founded Women In Motion, a group of 25 female Road Guards who planned group rides to benefit Accident Scene Management. They hosted 250 mile group rides, working with Law Enforcement and local communities.
On June 21,2002, she and Head Road Captain, Tony “Pan” Sanfelipo, got married on the arm of Crazy Horse, making them the first couple to have been married on the arm. Tommy Thompson and her dad walked her down the aisle. Some 225 showed up for the event. That day was particularly special as Pan was inducted into the Sturgis Hall of Fame that morning. Vicki is also a proud member of the Iron Butt association.
Vicki has been riding her own motorcycle for 30 years and has completed the MSF’s Experienced Rider Course.
She is a life member of ABATE of Wisconsin, Hog, and Road Guardians.
Vicki has dedicated her life to the safety of motorcyclist and shares her passion for riding with those around her. “

There is so much to her as a person and being involved in the motorcycle but space just does not allow to list all of it here. I do have to mention though She founded the worlds largest motorcycle trauma training organization - Accident Scene Management.

JODY PEREWITZ Land Speed record holder and the first woman to go over 200 MPH was also inducted. That is just one of the many titles she owns and besides that the other things she has accomplished makes this a well-deserved inductee as well.
