Hey,

Life is amazing.
We’re in the middle of a Pandemic and J&P had their best single day sales record in the history of the company. And now J&P is owned by another company.

Get this, boat sales have gone through the roof. It’s one way a family can play together and not run into nasty crowds. One manufacturer launched their new models way before the end of the year.

Motorcycles have a similar blessing, that’s why Rich is having a banner year at American Biker in Charleston, SC, and Junior, at Lifestyle Cycles in SoCal is kicking ass in Orange County, California. It’s about embracing what’s available. A brother has an event magazine. No events, no business, but that’s not the case. He’s going to start covering underground events. He’s also going to interview big event promoters about their struggle and what they need.

Hell, Scott Jacobs was making bank on Cruise line art auctions. That’s gone for now, but Scott, Sharon and their daughters opened a brewery restaurant and bakery in Deadwood and they are kicking ass. There doesn’t seem to be any Covid around here. It’s amazing.

Cruise ships don’t need to set idle. Hell, one cruise ship could hold three separated conventions at the same time and stay in dock. Safety measures on one of those massive ships could be a breeze because of the compartments. Everything would be completely contained.

But riding is the best. Feel free, in the wind and social distancing is not a problem at 90mph.

Let’s hit the news:

Bagger Nation Pre-Wired Monkey Bars--Paul Yaffe's Phoenix, Arizona based Bagger Nation's Monkey Bars program is popular with all touring riders, including Baggers of course, and with the company's original Monkey Bars for 2014 - present Street/Electra Glide and Ultra Classic now available "pre-wired", expect them to stay that way - "Monkeying around has never been easier!"

Pre-wired Monkey Bagger Bars for 2014-present Street Glide/Ultra Classic
Shipped direct from the Bagger Nation factory, the pre-wired Monkey Bars come with both plug and play CAN bus control harnesses and connectors installed. A pull wire is also installed on the throttle side, making the twist grip throttle sensor exchange painless.

The Bagger Nation solution eliminates the need to buy extensions, and the pre-wired option retains the OEM premium quality twist grip throttle sensor and comes complete with internal switch wires and connectors installed. These bars are compatible with the H-D heated grips.

When changing stock bars to Bagger Nation's 8 and 10 inchers, there is no need for new hydraulic brake and clutch lines, but replacements will be needed when installing the 12, 14 or 16" Monkey Bagger Bars.

They are made in steel, are drilled and have a gloss black powder-coat finish and have a 1 1/4" bar diameter with a 1" clamp and grip area diameter, 4 1/2" wide clamp area (knurl to knurl), 8" end rise/height and 15" center width (inside to inside). The overall width is 36" with a 9" pullback/sweep.

Pre-wired OEM Monkey Bars for 2015-present Road Glide

Also seen here are Bagger Nation pre-wired OEM replacement Monkey Bars for 2015 - present Road Glides. They also have both plug and play CAN bus control harnesses and connectors installed, H-D heated grip compatibility, throttle side pull wire and retain the OEM twist grip sensor.

With these stock replacement applications, the 10 inchers don't need new hydraulic brake and clutch lines, but the 12, 14 and 16" options do; also, on 2015 and later Road Glide Ultras and some CVO Road Glides, the purchase of the standard control clamps from a H-D dealer will be required. Available chrome or black with 1 1/4" bar diameter, 10 1/2" center width, 1 1/4" clamp area bar diameter with 4 1/2" knurl to knurl clamp area width, 1" grip area bar diameter, 10" end rise/height and 10 1/2" inside to inside center width.

BILTWELL NEWS-- #operationnumbnuts 2021

JD’s Adventure Shovel--Ready for Anything
We’ve moved our Arctic Circle trip to 2021 but one of our favorite riding buddys JD Sansaver is ready to go right now! Follow the link to see some details on the bike and check out the video bike feature.

We've decided to postpone the Operation Numbnuts trip to the Arctic Circle until 2021. With COVID-19 not showing any signs of abating any time soon and the Canadian border still closed, it just made sense. We could've taken the ferry back instead of riding through the Yukon and BC, but that would cost a fortune and eliminate some of the best riding areas we were really looking forward to. Most importantly, it's not the most responsible thing for a bunch of us to roll into the small towns and villages in remote areas along the way, so we decided to shelf it for another 11-12 months.

Most of us are ready to go, but JD has probably done the most prep on his bike in anticipation of the trip. He pulled the pan engine out and swapped in the trusty cone shovel from his chopper. Then he built the windscreen complete with "doped" canvas just like vintage airplane wings were made back in the day. He hand-made the custom rubber/leather tour pack bag, made sure his fly-fishing rig had a mount, fitted up a front fender for the first time and he's good to go!

He's way ahead of the game for next year, so who knows what crafty old JD will think up to add on to this awesome machine over the next few months...

NAMZ Lighting Splice

NAMZ is ALL about making your life simple and sometimes too simple. Our latest NAMZ exclusive product is something that founder Jeff Zielinski was not too keen on in the past due to always wanting to keep it 100% accurate and using only OEM products. So our new Lightning Splice's are definitely not OEM but they are indeed a low cost quality wiring connection sure to make wiring a snap!

After a lot of testing, we have finally produced a product that we would put own name on, easy to use, with (4) wiring configurations, simple to service/remove and heavy duty enough to stand up to the most aggressive rider. These splice connectors, using a sharp copper contact make a v-cut into each wires insulation gaurenteeing a solid connection. Simply pop open the hinged door on the splice, insert the wire(s) and press firmly down, even using a set of pliers or needle nose for a perfect crimp.

Be on the lookout for many wiring options to include the new NAMZ Lightning Splices to make all your wiring jobs easy and still done the right way!
Check out our Lightning Splice's for yourself!

LIFESTYLE CYCLES DEAL OF THE WEEK-- 2015 Harley-Davidson® FLHR - Road King for $16,995.00

SEE IT HERE: https://www.lifestylecycles.com/default.asp?page=xPreOwnedInventoryDetail&id=9016171

Features May Include:
Project RUSHMORE - Control
Here are some of the innovations Project RUSHMORE led to: the Reflex™ Linked Brakes with ABS, the Daymaker™ LED headlamps and fog lamps, brighter Tour-Pak® lighting, brighter turn signals, brighter brake lights, and a steering head with stiffer front forks. Locked-up tires are now history even when there’s wet pavement. We’ve made it feel even better to lean your way through a turn. Now you can see better. And we’ve made you more conspicuous to the cage-driving public. Because one thing we all agree on is this: bikes that work better make riders who ride better. Take a ride. See how good you can be.

Air-Adjustable Suspension
With air-adjustable suspension that comes standard, you can dial in your ride to accommodate heavier or lighter payloads, battle unexpected road conditions or simply set it to how you like to roll. The lighter the load, the softer you can go by decreasing the air pressure a bit, or increase the air pressure for a more firm ride. A convenient air valve is located between the saddlebag and rear fender for quick adjusting. It's all about rider and passenger comfort and setting your bike to fit your taste—the easy way.

Brembo® Brakes
Confidence. Control. High-performance dual disc Brembo® brakes offer consistent stopping power at all speeds. The 4-piston front and rear caliper with dual front rotor brake system is state of the art and top of the line. It's just another way The Motor Company puts a high level of detail into their bikes to give you peace of mind throughout your journey.

Reflex™ Linked Brakes with Anti-lock Braking System
No doubt about it, there are times when you need to haul things down in a hurry. And you don’t get to pick those times. Or decide whether or not they occur when you’re on a flat, smooth, dry, perfect stretch of pavement. That’s why our touring models feature the Reflex™ Linked Brakes with ABS. ABS turns a locked-up front wheel or a rear wheel skid into a relic from riding’s history. And the front and rear brakes are electronically linked to provide exactly the right amount of brake to each tire no matter what the road condition is. No matter how good you are, this will make you a better rider.

Twin Cam 103™ Engine Innovation
Fire up the Twin Cam 103™ engine and feel the low-end torque unleashed. Thanks to the lightweight piston design, delivery of the added power is more refined than ever. Then put your foot on the shifter and feel how the engine and Six-Speed Cruise Drive® transmission were designed to work together. Six speeds. A strong driveline and strong internal parts. Low routine maintenance. And a low cruising rpm couldn't feel better.

OLD BECOMES NEW AGAIN AT DIME BAG LEATHERS—Years ago, I produced and sold these watch bands in Easyriders under the IRS name. We used IRS because the IRS was fucking with us. Recently Adam, who fell in love with working with leather talked to me about expanding his line, so I sent him a sample. I also sent him a sample of our IRS leather wallets. Hang on for those. Here’s his report.

First prototype is done. A few modifcations on the next one and I'll get you the three piece set, along with the cellphone holster. Gonna make some cool pieces for sure. What do you think with the photos?

INDIAN MOTORCYCLE AND S&S CYCLE TO RACE AT INAUGURAL
‘KING OF THE BAGGERS’ INVITATIONAL AT LAGUNA SECA

Armed with the Indian Challenge & Piloted by Road Racing Champion Tyler O’Hara, Indian & S&S
Take on An Entire Field of Harley-Davidsons

Indian Motorcycle, America’s First Motorcycle Company, and S&S Cycle today announced a collaboration to race an Indian Challenger at the inaugural Drag Specialties King of the Baggers invitational at Laguna Seca Raceway. The modified Indian Challenger will be piloted by the highly-decorated racing champion Tyler O’Hara.

Among the 14 teams invited to the first-ever King of the Baggers race, S&S is the only Indian Challenger entry. Set to face off against a field of 13 Harley-Davidson baggers, the appropriately-named Indian Challenger boasts superior out-of-the-box performance, including a best-in-class 122 horsepower, an inverted front suspension, and a hydraulically-adjustable FOX® rear shock.

“When the Indian Challenger was released last October, it set a new standard for performance-oriented, stock baggers and offers the ideal platform, from which to base our race modifications,” said Paul Langely of S&S. “That said, we’re leaving no stone unturned when evaluating the modifications needed to be successful at Laguna Seca.”

At the helm of the S&S-modified Indian Challenger will be road racing veteran Tyler O’Hara. A highly-decorated, and seasoned rider, O’Hara brings a diverse racing background – having won titles in supersport, supermoto, motocross and flat track racing. O’Hara also brings significant experience at Laguna Seca.

“I’m thrilled to not only be racing in the King of the Baggers event, but to be piloting the only Indian Challenger in the field. It’s an incredible opportunity for me, and I expect it will be a ton of fun,” said O’Hara. “The Challenger is a remarkable machine in its stock form, but I know the S&S team will be working its magic to give us the best chance to be successful come race day.”

“Just like the rest of the racing community and motorcycle industry, we cannot wait to see 14 baggers ripping around Laguna Seca,” said Gary Gray, Vice President – Racing, Technology and Service for Indian Motorcycle. “That said, we’re extremely proud to be the lone Indian Motorcycle in the field, partnering with our friends, the elite innovators at S&S.”

The King of the Baggers event will be part of the MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest at Monterey on October 23-25. The inaugural race will join the premier MotoAmerica Superbike, Supersport, Liqui Moly Junior Cup, Stock 1000, Twins Cup and Heritage Cup racing.

Facing a field of nothing but Harley-Davidsons, King of the Baggers serves up a compelling extension of Indian Motorcycle’s Challenger Challenge program, a mobile demo tour and dealer test ride program that encourages motorcyclists to test ride the Indian Challenger, head-to-head against the Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® Special.

“We’ve seen incredible consumer response to the superior features and benefits of the Challenger when compared directly against the Road Glide,” said Gray. “King of the Baggers takes that comparison to an entirely different level, as we face off against the field at Laguna Seca.”

FREEDOM RECOGNIZED--Missouri Governor Signs HB1963T - Including Helmet Repeal

This afternoon, Missouri Governor Mike Parson signed legislation that would modify the current helmet law in the “Show Me State.” The new law, which will go into effect August 28, 2020, allows motorcyclists to ride without helmets if they are 26 years of age or older and have medical insurance.

Freedom of Road Riders Legislative Coordinator Amy Allmon said “Persistence actually pays off, on Tuesday July 14th at 1:30pm Missouri Governor Mike Parson signed our helmet modification bill. Freedom of choice in Missouri!” When asked for a reaction, MRF Chairman of the board, Kirk “Hardtail” Willard had this to say, “The Motorcycle Riders Foundation celebrates today with the bikers of Missouri on their victory of freedom of choice. It's incredible to realize the State Motorcyclist Rights Organizations have spent nearly four decades pursuing their freedom. Given today’s political environment this is truly rarified air. Ride free Missouri.”

Congratulations to the Freedom of Road Riders, ABATE for Missouri and all those who never quit in the fight to let those who ride, decide!

Progressive Suspension Launches Full Suspension System for Yamaha XSR700 and MT-07/FZ-07 Riders

Progressive Suspension, the nation's premier manufacturer of motorcycle and UTV suspension products, announced the launch of a full suspension system designed for the popular XSR700, Yamaha MT-07 and its predecessor, the Yamaha FZ-07. The system consists of two products, a replacement front fork cartridge kit and a monoshock for the rear, both designed by Progressive Suspension specifically for these motorcycles. While each product is available separately, the magic happens when both front and rear suspension receive the upgrade.

The suspension system is designed to improve the quality of the XSR/MT/FZ ride, as well as offering greater front-end stability, improved cornering, front brake dive and bottoming control. The setup eliminates bottoming and shaking in sweeping corners, giving the rider a smoother, more nimble riding experience.

"We chose to launch this system for the MT-07, a great bike that needed better-than-stock suspension to really show its stuff," said Sean Delshadi, brand manager for Progressive Suspension. "Customers who upgrade their FZ-07, MT-07 or XSR700 with our system will have a more stable ride and less front-end dive when braking. We think our system unlocks the real performance potential of the bike, making it a whole new animal for the rider to enjoy."

The front suspension package features Progressive Suspension’s state of the art Monotube Fork Cartridge Kit which replaces the open bath internals of the stock fork. It converts dual damper rod suspension to high performance gas charged monotube dampers and custom tuned fork springs. Monotube-style damping improves ride comfort, resistance to front brake dive as well as improving front end stability, cornering and bottoming control. The kit fits 2015 through current Yamaha FZ-07, MT-07 and XSR700 forks and replaces all of the internal parts. No modifications to the motorcycle are required, and the installation is simple. Suggested retail price is $339.95.

The 465 Series Rear setup represents state of the art in high pressure, gas monotube shock design. Utilizing a 46mm bore and deflective disc piston for precise damping, the beefy, 16mm, hard-chrome shaft rides on custom Viton seals for low friction and leak free life. Threaded body and a five-position rebound adjuster allows for fine tuning to match the owner's riding style and load. Available with options including a standard rate or heavy-duty spring, and stock length. The 465 is custom tuned for each application, from the damping and spring rate all the way down to the jounce bumper. This product fits the 2015 and later Yamaha FZ-07, MT-07, XRS700 and the product line will soon expand to include other monoshock bikes. Suggested retail price is $649.95

More information is available on the Progressive Suspension website or at a Progressive Suspension dealer.
