Biker Bars Near Me: California

Whether you’re cruising the coast of California or taking the road less traveled, chances are you’ll need a few spots to pull off, unwind, and have a drink among fellow bikers. California’s a huge state and, as you can imagine, is full of killer biker bars and hangouts. To find the best in the biz, though, you need to know where to look—and Bikernet can help.

If you’re riding through California, north or south, there’s a range of bars and spots to chill out, eat & drink, and take a load off before you get back on the road. For some of California’s best spots, take a look below with Bikernet. If you’re moving on to the next state, check out our full list of bars & hangouts (filtered by state).

California’s Top Biker Bars

It doesn’t matter if you’re cruising through southern California as south as you can go or heading up north through the Redwoods, California has some of the best places to stop. While there’s a never-ending list of joints, check out the top choices below.

Cook’s Corner

19152 E Santiago Canyon Rd, Trabuco Canyon, CA 92679

Cook’s Corner is your classic old, sawdust-on-the-floor saloon. With hundreds of bikes coming and going all day every Sunday, Cook’s is a biker’s paradise. They’ve got live bands playing regularly, and have often been described as “not for the faint of heart”. Cook’s has been around for decades and not much has changed. It’s a great place for good food, cold beers, and conversing with fellow bikers.

Get there: Take the I-405 to Lake Forest, take El Toro exit heading east for about 5 miles to Canyon Drive. Cook’s is on the right corner.

Screaming Chicken Saloon

18169 Cajon Blvd, San Bernardino, CA 92407

Screaming Chicken Saloon holds a bikini bike wash on the first Saturday every month. Need we say more? Aside from that, it’s a great bar with a pretty good beer menu. Moreover, it’s a place for biker clubs—and it doesn’t matter what club you’re from. And did we mention there’s a stripper pole? In short, Screaming Chicken is a good place to stop if you’re passing through the area.

Johnny’s Bar & Grill

526 San Benito St, Hollister, CA 95023

A great place near the Bay, Johnny’s has long been a place for bikers. The food’s great, bartenders are cool, and live music is a regular occurrence. Plus, a rally after the 4th of July is held here each year, where bikers from all over come by. If you’re in the area, Johnny’s is an absolute must for bikers of all types. And, if you’re around for the 4th, you’ll be in for a real treat.

Get there: Off Interstate 101, take exit 25 to Hollister.

PJ’s Roadhouse

5641 Mother Lode Dr, Placerville, CA 95667

With bikes lining the outside at any given time, PJ’s Roadhouse is a killer place up north in California. Just what you’d expect from a roadhouse on the outside, and you get the same vibe inside. Bartenders are cool and the beer is always cold. Plus, they have live music often along with shuffleboard and pool. It’s a great place to hang out and get some cheap drinks.

The Sagebrush Cantina

23527 Calabasas Rd, Calabasas, CA 91302

Every Sunday in the riding season (almost year-round), you’ll find it’s the ultimate place for SoCal biker life. With eye candy everywhere, (both "iron" and the "fleshy" variety), live bands, and the best damn Brunch in the friggin state, Sagebrush Cantina is an awesome place to stop and hang. If you don’t have the brunch, they charge a cover depending on the band, usually 5 bucks, and you can park your bike in a secure, attended bike corral for a buck. In short, it’s the perfect Sunday day trip.

Get there: Sagebrush is off the 101 at Valley Circle in Calabasas. Go west to Calabasas Rd and it will be on the right side.
