Motor Trike is releasing a new mechanical reverse gear that claims to make parking a Harley-Davidson easier than ever before. The reverse can be used on Harley-Davidson trikes, sidecars or two-wheeled motorcycles, so long as they use an OEM application.

Motor Trike’s new mechanical reverse is clutch-operated, eliminating any strain on the electrical system.

Unlike other reverse gears on the market, this new reverse offers an electronic kill switch to prevent transmission damage. If the reverse and the transmission are engaged in gear at the same time, the kill switch will stall the engine. The reverse does not affect any of the forward gears, and no modification to the bike’s exhaust is required.

All specialty installation tools are included with the reverse at no additional charge.

The Motor Trike mechanical reverse gear is available for $1,395 for trike models with a standard clutch or $1,495 for those with a hydraulic clutch. The new gears should begin shipping on December 12. For more information, visit MotorTrike.com.
