The cam and gear unit is fitted into the tool and then set in the press. A three-eights inch ball bearing (shown below)
is used to protect the key way surface
and the press ram is then run down and the gear pressed off.
The cam gear must be marked to transfer the Top Dead Center dot to the other side
of the gear.
This is done by locating the TDC dot (shown above) carefully
turn the gear over and draw a corresponding mark with a felt pen on the backside of the gear.
