The fifth speed main
drive gear is now extracted from its support bearing with JIMS 5-Speed
Main drive Gear Tool # 35316-80
(Photos 5 & 6).

The mainshaft support bearing
snap ring is removed (Photo 7) and, following that, the bearing is extracted
with JIMS 5-Speed Main Bearing Remover Tool # 1720 (Photos 8, 9 & 10).
Now the tranny case can
be prepared for the new gear set.
