Easy day trip from Las Vegas. The ride is the best part. Locals are friendly and welcome bikers. Normal food at normal prices nearby. Excellent road, great scenery, clean/cool air, no traffic lights ! Home by sunset with energy to spare.

I saw the billboards coming into town saying Biker Friendly and
had to check it out. When we pulled up, guy from the hotel came
out, greeted us, assured us our bikes would be safe. Rooms
were $35 for a double, 3 people, overlooking our bikes. They
have $25 singles as well. Food was good in the restaurant. Great
experience.

Oh yeah, and Spring Mountain Saloon was built in early 1900's by a guy who's wife wouldn't let him drink in the house, so the place started out as he hideaway to drink with his buddies as they lived up the hill behind the current bar. It kept getting added onto over the years. FYI, the biker store is now closed for remodeling (boo hoo)
Oh yeah, and Pioneer Saloon was just purchased by a new owner. they are cleaning up the place adn making more outdoor hanging out areas. The walk of shame (asshole boardwalk) is still there and needs some names added to it, so go down there and become famous!

Best to night ride there, it gets hotter than shit in the summer.
