Smith Union Bar, Honolulu

Oldest bar in downtown honolulu smack dab in the middle of the infamous Hotel St. The eighty year old watering hole was the hot spot for sailors during and after the war and is still going strong old school style with a two dollar domestic beer rule. The "life-ers" at Smith Union are always welcoming the newbies with their
aloha, smiles and cheers for all. It's not a hip hop spot but it's the best place to enjoy a nice cold beer and reminisce about old hawaii or just get smashed off your ass singing karaoke and being amused by the characters that suround you. Membership is free and the memories are priceless.

Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Stop on the way to Hana or after an early ride up to Haleakala to watch the sunrise. Super honky tonk bar that gets to rockin' after dark. Bar food is good and the pizza is excellant. Most of the bar keeps are heavy handed and like to chat.
