Funnel

I have to admit I do have a few different oil filter funnels, but none that worked well on my 2004 FLHT Harley, because of how the foot controls are positioned and also because the motorcycle has a oil cooler on it. Over the years I've used chunks of cardboard and or tinfoil, and most of the time they work, but they leave a lot to be desired.

I was at my local Harley dealer buying parts and saw a funnel that looked like it would work, so I bought it. Hey, if it worked great, if it didn’t I would add it to the collection of others I have.

The manufacturing company supplies you with a complete set of instructions on how to use it, like having the bike on the kickstand etc. I am sure that way would work very well, especially for those who do not have a lift. Actually with the bike angled down toward the left, the oil can readily follow the funnel form into the pan.

I prefer working on the lift, so I did it my way and it still worked well. The plastic form is also designed to catch oil as the filter is removed, so make sure it's pressed up tight to the case. So if you are interested in knowing more about the funnel and or getting one, you can contact them at (877) 376-7885 or visit their website at: Click Here For Their Website It comes with a lifetime guarantee.

After draining the oil and changing the filter I added new Spectro Oil, and am set again until my next service.
