Rats, stockers, and full-blown customs, new and old flowed into town in an endless
roll of thunder and smoke.
Bikers were ridin' both solo and club.
Vendors for the event included the boys from Downtown H-D (home of the famous
Russ Tom), various food vendors and more leather vendors than you could count.
The Seattle Cossaks performed in usual form. If you've ever seen these guys, you'll
know what I mean. They are an old school drill team out of Seattle and some of the
best you'll ever see. A dozen guys putting some very well-used Flatheads through
their paces is quite cool. The Tenino drill team also performed for the crowd. They
are another fun group to watch and are all bikers to the core.
My uncle has some buddies in town that run the Brew House at the end of
Commercial Avenue, just across from the Majestic Hotel. The renovated Majestic
gets crashed by a boatload of bikers the night before the event. My guess is they
probably have to re-renovate the establishment after the weekend every year.
We popped into the Brew House for beers and oysters. Although the place was
filled with bikers, we were able to manage a spot at the bar. We spoke with a
couple of the patrons and all agreed it was a great day to be alive.
Stumbling back to our rides, we caught a glimpse of a couple paint jobs that
appeared photo worthy. This was one of my favorites.
The day ended almost as quickly as it began. I had to get my ass back to town to
work on the site or Bandit would have put out a contract on me. So we saddled up,
cranked the throttle and headed home.
Ride On,
