What's Up With Kiljay Racing March 6, 2001 (Continued)

As Kiljay's hired gun I rode my 94 Lowrider ET bike and Kiljays Pro Gas lay down dragster. The latter suffered a catastrophic blown motor when we tried to put a 100 HP of nitrous oxide to it, in Vegas. 2001 is looking like a great year for us. I will be riding both my ET bike and the Pro Gas bike at 8 AHDRA (All Harley Drag Racing Association) races and the Sacramento Delkron Fun Drags in October. Three of these races will be on the east coast as we are going to try for national ranking in both the Pro Gas & Andrews ET classes. The Pro Gas bike is getting a new engine and transmission. The transmission we have purchased is a factory rebuilt B&J 3-speed automatic transmission with Double Sprags. This will get the bike out of the hole faster and substantially reduce out 60 ft times compared with the 2-speed we are replacing. The engine we are building is a 160 cubic inch, 4-cam, Delkron based engine with Axtel barrels & top fuel heads modified to run gas. We will be running 2 super "D" carburetors (one on each side) with three thunder jets each. Estimated horsepower on gas is 225-250. We will also have a NOS system giving us another 50 to 100 horsepower. My crew chief "Killer" promises it will have enough Horsepower to scare me. I can't wait.

Current status of race bikes.

ET bike: completely apart getting frame power coated, new paint on sheet metal and Karata 3" primary belt drive & new STD heads. Estimate HP when done 120.

Progas bike: Completely apart getting new upper & lower fairings, new paint, reworked NOS system, new motor (2 more weeks) and transmission. Estimated completion date March 15th.
