It was clear that many custom bike builders are pushing the envelope this year. The four Camel Roadhouse bikes were evidence of that fact. Ron Simms, Jesse James, Jim Nasi and Eddie Trotta broke all the rules. Each one was radically unique.

But it was easy to pick my favorite. Billy Streeter has long been my favorite airbrush artist and his work on Eddie's Thunder Chopper made an already kick-ass chopper come to life with a vengeance.

On Wednesday, the real competition started with the Harley-Davidson Ride In Show.

A horde of severely savage choppers from Germany gave the home crowd a run for its money.
