I walked around Waikiki some more and called it a night. We had a radio gig in the morning and they wanted me to be present I guess in case someone lost their voice and needed a back up. Another full day awaited us. I was still kind of bummed since the best waves of the trip happened that afternoon and I was working as Bandits valet at that Tiki whatever!
But as you know, every story turns to better, and that great morning was the beginning of the rebellion, the Dark Side of the trip, the day I was baptized "famous". We showed up at Island rhythms 98.5 early. We were going to talk about the show at Lanai, Augie and Melisa's control booth. It was pretty cool to be able to participate on the radio with the most talented trio in Hawaii's airwaves, not to mention, funny. And Melisa was a babe! While we were looking for a place to park the Yugo, Bandit and his entourage were being escorted to the VIP parking. I was feeling lucky; like I might be able to join them in the studio if I cut someone's throat the right way.

The radio segment was a trip and I had a blast. I wanted to stay until the show was over and hang out with the guys (and Melisa), but Deacon and Dan had a ride planned and I was seeing myself polishing bikes and bringing water bottles to the boss. The station seemed a good idea for my escape; maybe Melisa would feel sorry for me and take me home.

Ok, now in all seriousness, I guess I have been watching way too much " Reality TV" enough bull! After the radio interview, we went to Cosmic Airbrush. I heard he was painting a board and wanted to "check it out". I guess the word was out since when I asked to look at it in sunlight, everyone in unison yelled NO!

We ended up at Deacon's shop after going back to Kailua and picking up my ride, Nasty, a cool chop. Dan and I rode thru the new H-3, which is one of the most kick ass roads I've ever been on.
"Nasty"
Dan said the whole way that I had a shit-eating grin while riding back to Waipahu. I wonder why? I'm in Hawaii, no helmet, riding a really cool road and on a chopper, plus Bandit was at Pearl Harbor, which is kinda far away, life was good. But alas, all good things must come to an end.
We got to Deacon's & Larry's shop, followed by Chris T., the capo di tuti capo and Bandit. All my joy went to hell when someone mentioned I was riding a Twinkie full dress. I've heard cruel jokes before, but this one was like a swift kick to the balls.
