The famous Mike Lichter.
Photographer, Mike Lichter found a new way to get around the pesky
worry of where to park his ride. Meanwhile the day was fading away
and I had a headache. The Horse Party and Bike Show at Will's were
firing up and I needed a cure fast. Strangely enough Dave Nichols
came along and using some kind of twisted medicine cured my headache
with an ancient remedy. I rode down the Will's feeling great. Tom and
his girls showed up and finally met Hammer, Billy Lane judged the
world's toughest bike show, Jose signed autographs over at The Horse
booth, Geno showed off his new tattoo, and even Connie braved the
traffic to come and check out the 80 killer bikes that competed in
the show.
All and all, a good time was had by most in Daytona, despite the
attempts to make us all go away. As I was riding home in the
moonlight, I thought back to a strange event that had occurred
earlier in the day. I'd been walking along, the setting sun
momentarily blinding me and I thought I saw an angel. I took a
picture, and sure enough there she was. A sign of hope that maybe
things will mellow out in Daytona. Because next time I might be the
loser in the ticket roulette, or worse yet, I won't be able to camp
out and I'll actually be forced to sleep indoors. ----Crazy Horse
