Compu-Fire Gen-III Starters are the only starters designed for cranking large displacement, high compression American V-Twin engines without the need for compression releases. High energy neodymium magnets, high efficiency motor windings and 6:1 planetary gear reduction allow the Gen-III to produce full starting torque drawing only 270 AMPS from the battery.

The splined output shaft, stepped jackshaft bolt, and shortened case means one Part No:
53700, covers all Big Twins from 1990 to present.
Part No. 53883 fits Sportsters.
