Champion Sportster 48 Conversion

I like Trikes for a multitude of reasons and have ridden many. My indoctrination was on a Champion/Harley Ultra Harley Davidson in 2007.  When I saw the Champion Sportster 48 Trike with forward controls I had to take a spin on these three wheels.  Champion conversions are exemplary fabrications in form and function and aesthetically the Sportster Trike is no exception. Champion’s Trike designs utilize either an Independent suspension or as in the Sporty 48’s case a rigid “Zero-Flex” suspension system which is a very stable platform. They have also developed an EZ Steer system which increases the stock rake (angle of the forks) by 5 degrees which significantly reduces the “trail”. Trail is what contributes to handling characteristics.  Rear automotive style disk brakes come standard and Champion is the only full line CARB approved manufacturer in California. I rode this baby hill and dale, off road through streams and backwoods. Read the full story @

Fear The Reaper

The Reaper by Big Chief Baggers features dual 180’s on the rear and a custom made Big Chief Baggers’ 30-inch front wheel. They CNC’d it to look like knives and then sharpened them! Every detail on this Trike is amazing.

Starting by cutting a Softtail H-D frame from the neck they gave it an 8 degree rake and replaced it with their own frame with its split in 2 designs along with sharp points.

They fabricated a swingarm for the Trike using metal tubing, also with sharp points. With the same tubing the Big City boys fabricated a sissybar and the handlebars in same style.

They fabricated from raw sheetmetal the gas tank, oil tank, battery tray and fenders keeping with same sharp point theme. Custom CNC grips and footpegs also carry the pointy theme.

Many injuries later they realized this trike is dangerous to get close to and the name Reaper was given.  Dropping a 113cc ultra motor and 5-Speed tranny with dual shorty headers the beast came to life.

Did I mention the custom made Big Chief Baggers’ 30-inch front wheel???

Stay tuned- Bikernet Trikes is writing the full story as soon as our Reaper induced wounds are healed

‘Sons of Anarchy’ Re-Upped for 2 More Seasons

(From thewrap.com)

"Sons of Anarchy" has been renewed for two seasons, guaranteeing a fifth and sixth season for FX's hit motorcycle-gang drama.

Sons of Anarchy was renewed for two more seasons on FX

The renewal comes as part of a new overall deal for "Sons" creator Kurt Sutter. Under the three-year pact with 20th Century Fox TV and FX Productions, Sutter will remain in control of the show, and will develop programs for both cable and networks.

Though the renewal extends "Sons of Anarchy" to six seasons, the show is expected to run at least seven seasons.

Famously outspoken showrunner Sutter came up through the ranks at FX as a staff writer for "The Shield."

FX's confidence in "Sons of Anarchy" and Sutter is well-founded; its fourth season was its highest-rated season to date, with an 18 percent boost in the adults 18-49 demographic and and a 21 percent leap in total viewers over the previous season. Season 4's two-part finale, which aired in December, also grew 22 percent over the previous season's finale.

Hollywood Reporter first reported the news.

Ridewright Modular Hub Ends (MHE’s): One Hub Fits All

Friday, February 3, 2012 @ 06:02 AM
posted by Canyon Carver

Because of the broad array of options between Ridewright rims and spokes, the need for so many hub configurations (the interface between custom wheel and customer bike) became overwhelming. The solution was simple and a system was born.

Ridewright Modular Hub Ends (MHE) for spoke wheels allow interchangeability between the three parts of this hub design; the left, the right and the center. Such an elegant simplicity is powerful in wheel engineering. This is because it opens up boundless configurations. Changing rotor, pulley or sprocket bolt patterns are only a matter of swapping out MHE’s. As long as there is clearance, this applies to changing out motorcycles too! Think how endless compatibility helps with resale, of the wheel or of the motorcycle (when you save the Ridewrights for the next bike). Just get new hub ends from Ridewright to make it fit again. Until now, this was unimaginable with spoke wheels. This ability is no longer the domain of billet mags.
This design is plenty strong as this design has been on the roads for a year after rigorous testing, with many happy riders delving into just as many wheel configurations. In addition, because of the tremendous interchangeability, turnaround for a custom wheel is quite fast at Ridewright’s in-house manufacturing facilities. Wheels are built to order and stockpiles of MHE’s stand by at the ready so they fit the customer bike no problem.
One-hub-fits-all-wheels means one-brand-fits-all-bikes; an industry first for spokes. This American ingenuity is classic Ridewright.
