Photos and Text by Mike Pullin with commentary by the Digital Gangster A few days ago, Bandit sent me an e-mail containing the photos you are about to see. He informed me that a guy by the name of Mike had sent him these and that we should enter the bike in Sundance's Cyberspace Bike Show. After reading the story Mike had submitted, we both felt we should do a little more with both the story, and the photos. When you read through the following pages, we feel you will agree. Thanks for sharing this one Mike, - Digital Submitted to Bikernet 11/7/2000- Here are some pictures of a bike I built "in memory of" my son Justin. Justin always wanted to own a Harley one day. The bike won 1st place at the Easyrider Show here in Charlotte(January 2000). (Spectator Class-In the Wind) The bike itself is based around a Santee Rigid Frame, 4-speed Rev-Tech Transmission, Jockey Shift, Del-Kron engine cases. The paint was done by my friends Teddy Hodge and Rodney Burnett. Max at Brown's American Cycles handled final assembly and fabrication. Sometimes when I am out on the bike I feel as though Justin is right there with me.
Justin was always interested in anything mechanical. He had four dirt bikes and was always working on them. He built go- carts and raced bicycles. He played football and never was the biggest or the fastest, but he had the biggest heart. If you told Justin that "it couldn't be done" he was determined to show you that it could be done.
Justin had a lot of characteristics that are similar to that of bikers. He was determined to find a way to do something and didn't listen to people trying to change his mind. Most of all Justin valued friendship above all else. At the funeral, over 500 people attended and the majority were his friends from school and people he hung around with.
