HASLETT, MI (December 1, 2008) BAKER Drivetrain announces the completion of J&P staff training. After a successful Biketoberfest training session at their Daytona location, Bert Baker and James Simonelli completed the final staff training at J&P’s headquarters in Anamosa Iowa. The 65 person group included sales and tech specialists, product specialists, catalog personnel, purchasing, quality control and marketing staff. BAKER has proven that the more technically savvy the sales staff is, the better the end user is satisfied. The training presentation included a brief BAKER company history, a discussion of the similar sales philosophy between the two companies, a full product line technical review, and a Q&A/new products wrap up. Rather than the typical ho hum PowerPoint presentation normally associated with product training, Bert and James kept things light, entertaining, and amusing in the typical BAKER fashion. The company’s new mission statement “We just wanna make cool shit and have fun” was also introduced. “I’m really pleased with the outcome of this training, remarked Bert. We used J&P as a pilot program and can already see a benefit in our sales. We intend to train as many of our distributor rep staff as possible and assemble the strongest sales force in the industry” “I want to thank BAKER Drivetrain for their training classes in both Iowa and our Destination Daytona locations. J&P Cycle takes pride in offering the best customer support and technical service to our customers. Thanks to this on-site training, our staff is now up to date on the newest product offerings and technical aspects of the BAKER product line”, said John Parham, J&P Cycles’ President.
