La Crosse, WI (July 24, 2008) S&S® Cycle announces the availability of a billet air-cleaner kit for 2008 Victory Motorcycles. To date, one of the most economical and effective performance products available for the Victory Freedom® engine is the S&S® high performance air cleaner kit. Used in conjunction with a set of Victory Stage 1 performance mufflers, this kit has consistently shown an increase of up to 20 horsepower over a stock 100ci Freedom engine. That’s an increase that you will definitely notice. . . and you don’t even have to open the engine! But until now, they only fit 2003-’07 models.

S&S now offers a high performance air cleaner kit to fit 2008 models. The idea is the same, and so are the results! Big horsepower gains for a very reasonable investment. The new air cleaner kit with a set of Victory® performance mufflers has consistently produced a solid 10 horsepower improvement in our 2008 Hammer® test bike. It should be noted that this is less than what was achieved with earlier Freedom engines, but the lower compression ratio of the 2008 engines appears to hold it back a bit, but the additional power is built just where you can use it.

Like the S&S high performance air cleaner kit for 2003-’07 models the new kit for 2008 engines includes a polished billet air cleaner with a pleated gauze filter, all required hardware, and a calibration card to allow your dealer to load an S&S tune file.
