After years of engineering and developing the best engines in the v-twin aftermarket, S&S took a step back to look at what is most important to the life of their engines. Lubrication. Clean oil flowing through an air/oil-cooled engine is the surest way to prolong the life of the engine. The cleaner the oil flowing through the engine, the more effective it is at lubricating vital components and helping cool the engine down by moving the oil as quickly as the oil pump dictates.

For most, an oil filter is an oil filter. For S&S it represents another opportunity to ensure the life of a Proven Performance engine. So S&S Cycle designed and engineered an oil filter specifically for the entire line of S&S engines. The filters-available in black and chrome finishes-utilize a filtering media that traps the smallest particles possible without interrupting the velocity of oil flow from the pump. By eliminating the back-up that some filters can create, S&S has helped eliminate a significant amount of oil-carryover that can cause blow-by or sumping. The S&S oil filter was engineered to have a smaller outside case diameter than other filters on the market, making it easier to remove when mounted in close proximity to Crank Position Sensors and other engine components. S&S oil filters are available for all models of S&S engines and will work on other engines that are similar in engine family to the line of S&S Proven Performance engines.
