I met Mark Uker at this year’s V-Twin Expo. Mark’s company, CMU Enterprises, builds one-off frames at a very reasonable price. I was impressed at the cost, the look and overall craftsmanship. In fact, I am probably going to take an old Iron Head frame I have and send it to them to tweak a bit. They will alter stock frames for folks too which comes in very handy if you want to keep the VIN number for registration.
In talking with Mark, I told them that I was in a sea of American V-Twin builders and I was at the event to cover Metric bikes and products. That is when he told me of his Honda 750 chopper. Mark did all the fabrication on the bike. Everything is made by hand and it was this bike that he developed his skills.
Take a look at the cute little red head and the cool bike. I will be putting up stuff on the frames on Bikernet and Bikernet Metric when and where appropriate. Check out the pictures for now and the tech chart. I always ask, “ where is the heart and soul of metric building….I have to say, it is right here and it is ALIVE!
