Jimmy the mortician decided to go out and get him a new bike. Based on cash flow he was looking at getting a little 883 Sportster. However, he knew that the sporty would soon feel underpowered and he would want to go to a 1200 conversion kit. Also, he did not want the norm….he was lookin’ for something a little different.

You see, Jimmy really is a mortician and not just a morbid guy. When he is not at work embalming our loved ones, you can find him at home listening to the Misfits while sippin’ on home-made vanilla and oak infused rum and working on his old Cadillac hearse. The norm just would not work, so Jimmy looked into getting a metric that showed some promise of a quick lil’ custom bobber.

Jimmy ended up finding the bike you see here. The bike was once an 1100 VStar from Yamaha. You may not recognize it with the ugly ass stock tank removed and the couch-like seat thrown out. Jimmy saw close to what you see here and decided he had to have it.

“It had a great start as a lil’ bobber with its sporty tank and cut down fender”, says Jimmy the Mortician.

The bike had the Sportster tank with the sight-glass added and the bobbed fender in rear with the front missing altogether.

Jimmy remounted the rear fender and added a new spring seat and was ready to ride. A buddy at a local shop had the mini West Coast Choppers headlight sitting around so they threw that on the front. The smaller light with the fat tire in front really looks bad-ass.

The note out the back comes from Pacific Coast Star’s Monster pipe. Jimmy wrapped it in heat wrap to keep that industrial, stripped look going.

“People always stop me at lights and say that is a great Harley. I am pleased to tell them it is a Yamaha and I love to see the look on their face. They just can’t believe it.”
